The term 'intelligence' is getting painted a bit broad? here though. Regarding brain structure, connectivity, sophisitication of language and the Intelligence Quotient; humans are the most intelligent species on earth. How we mistreat the environment isn't really a direct corollary, instead it's an example of a lack of foresight that psychologists have observed in our species (I just wish I could remember the name of the term) which is more of a blind spot we would be better to remain alert to.

They didn't always break. Spotting me, one of the crows dropped a clam at my feet and backed away, looking at me? with great intent. I understood immediately: the bird wanted me to smash the clam for him. And so I did. And so the crow ate. I have never again underestimated these talented creatures.

@cambocan. no its not illegal. he wasnt a pet. he came to live with us as a fledgling after falling out of a tree. we intentionally helped him learn skills to return to his crow family who stayed engaged during the time he was with us. his wild brother came and played in the hose only inches from my feet. and the crow who stayed with us flew freely after we helped him learn to fly after he was biggger.? he'd fly down the hill, sit in a tree to wait for the school bus, and fly to my son's shoulder

I hope you know it's illegal to adopt crows as pets. Crows are pests not pets. It's because people like you that feed and encourage crows that our cities are under attack by these things. This is also a baby crow...about the same age as the kitten...we had the good luck for a baby crow to live with us for awhile...he fell from a? tree the end of may and couldn't fly yet...and stayed with us until the fall...but was free to fly anywhere he wanted outside...he just saw us as his family and for the longest time would not pay attention to his crow relatives...it was a wonderful summer...that crow was pure love...

It is cool to see Martin Scorsese in a Kuroasawa film! Two masters of filmmaking apart of the same film! But it would have worked better if Scorsese was speaking French in his scenes!
