I loved Copenhagen. I love the silence which is absent from a big city. A great society relying a lot on bicycles. I live in Chicago so being there in November didn't shocked me. I found myself people were so friendly and helpful. First day sitting on a bench tired, an elderly guy came, and I thought he was going to ask for change instead he handed me a map. I would love to go again. I think a city fits a personality. If you are looking for New York, then I believe this won't? be your place.

Denmark is in Northern Europe yes. We are cosiddered a part of Scandinavia because of historical and cultural reason yeah. We have? always been on the peninsula up until 1814 when we lost the Napolic wars. Before that we have always had territory on the peninsula. Starting first with Scania (Originaly Danish territory) and then we conquered Norway. Centuries after we made the Kalmar Union and ruled all of Scandinavia and we held Norway up untill 1814.

Haha I was chewin my good ol' friend copen while watching this. Normally im a skoal man but Its kind of off and on but I find a satisfying dip by adding the first layer with skoal apple or classic then second layer Copenhagen. At least these folks can sleep at night knowing if they lost there job (which is not a big issue, they have a much lower unemployment rate than USA) they would still have healthcare, not lose a home due to medical bills and insurance company issues. and since he never claims to be an American, he is very clearly in the film from Denmark, the only thing American about him being the accent, and since it's a 1950's musical kids film, I don't see why it should bother anyone. If anything, it just opens more people's eyes to how incredible HCA was. Plus no one I met in Copenhagen seemed bothered? by the film when it was mentioned. My host sister even taught me this song in Danish, which was awesome, saying she learned it in school.

I was blessed enough to live in Copenhagen with a host family for 6 months. I love everything Denmark is about and you guys have a LOT more you can be proud of as well. What happened during the holocaust, for example. As an American, I didn't learn that story until? I visited the Holocaust Museum in DC and was astounded I wasn't taught it in school. Also, Legos. What I notice is that the cyclists respect driving rules as well as the cars. I dont see the a very typical act by cyclists of weaving around traffic, entering the sidewalk and then becoming a pedestrian on two wheels. This film has substantial cuts compared to the play to fit a TV running time,and the voice-over is to some extent a linking device. I believe the "cheap route" screenplay is by the author. And this is fictionalised. Factual details will sometimes be elided,if not discarded for effect. Regardless,this is literate and numerate drama of a very high order.

Great video. And if you are new to Denmark, I also suggest to used the slow moving vehicle service eg. bikes. As you might missed some good spots every corner of the cities.? Man? you should have taken the S-train to Enghaven station. The Carlsberg brewery is just across the station. Copenhagen is alot bigger than just the inner city, it's just hard to find..
