I saw him in "Tramps"? in 1986 in New York City. He almost took the roof down, Buster Poindexder was the opening act and he called Albert up on stage. He is one guitar player I will never forget.

Not sure who you think is the Master or Scholar, but there's no comparison in my opinion to the ones who learned from the folks before them. There would be no SRV? without Albert Collins, i was merely pointing out the homage that SRV paid to Albert Collins. Anybody could say SRV was better, and they may be right, but he wouldn't be the player without guys like Albert Collins and King, so it's a mute point. certainly no disrespect intended.

I went through a blues phase? in the early 90's. I liked Albert Collins the best. That tone was just so in your face. Great songs too !
