Look pal. My first comment was a response to this video in regards to what terrorist organizations are doing in Afghanistan to civillians, she is living proof. You can comment all you want about how it's about "money" or whatever you want to believe our reason is over seas....but that was never my argument. The fact that you intruded your opinion away from what my comment was focused on is negligent. My post wasn't an objective POV,? it was paying my respect and setting politics aside.
By: Rhythmicons. on 27 May 12, 21:33:08
Do you not think I made a? single valid point?
By: Rhythmicons. on 27 May 12, 21:31:09
I think we have more failures than many americans want to admit. I love my country just like I love my? children, that is why I care when they do wrong. And you should also.
By: Rhythmicons. on 27 May 12, 21:29:07
Im not neglecting anything. I just have to look in the rearview mirror to see our successes. Thats where you and I fundamentally disagree. I think our best days are? behind us at the rate we are going.
By: bibblemethis. on 27 May 12, 21:23:03
It's good to be American, just don't neglect our privledges? and sacrifices that have attributed to our successes.

You are welcome to be a cheerleader for team USA, just don't? neglect your homework.
By: Rhythmicons. on 27 May 12, 21:09:23
What you fail to realize is that there is little separatation between corporation and government when CEO's bounce back and forth from government appointment to their companies. The point you missed about WWII is that we don't use our military as you suggest, for the good of the? world and mankind. Despite every distraction you have brought up, we still supported the people that cut this woman's nose off, and we ARE negotiating with them. Stop making fallacious arguments.
By: bibblemethis. on 27 May 12, 20:53:57
Congratulations..you just listed only private industries that made money from selling/servicing items used by our military...still no profit that can compare to the? amount spent on the war that ended up in the taxpayers hands. You totally missed the point I was trying to make, it wasn't about whether or not we won, it was about the cause. And your comment regarding the WW's is contradicting...do you support military action or "letting our allies crumble" before lifting a finger?
By: Rhythmicons. on 27 May 12, 20:01:27
Oil companies made record profits. Construction companies got no bid contracts. Private security companies got paid millions more. Halliburton overcharged our troops for petrol. the list? goes on and on. We lost Korea, We lost Vietnam (after helping Ho Chi Minh previously) We didn't even care about WWI or II when it really mattered, so we let the Jap/Russians/Germans slaughter hundreds of millions and let our allies crumble before we lifted a finger. Save the selfrighteous BS for someone else.
By: Rhythmicons. on 27 May 12, 19:48:08
You just stop and think for a moment about every dictator we put in power in the Arab and Latin American world to quell communism. Batista, Pinochet, Noreiga, Mubarak, The Shah of Iran, The Saudis, Hussein, how many of them were oil barons? How many tortured their people or got overthrown? How many countless others were bankrolled by our corporations? How many people aren't aware? of shit like this or ignore it? You obviously love your country and I respect you for that. Theres a lot to learn.
By: Rhythmicons. on 27 May 12, 19:34:51
If you spend trillions on a war, where exactly do you think that money goes? You aren't picking a good hill to die on here, cause you obviously don't know what you are talking about. You are quite nieve to think that a lot of this has to do with "national security". Do you really think that human nature? ceases when it comes to the American Government? You really think we are infallable don't you?
By: Rhythmicons. on 27 May 12, 16:56:06
YOU were the one who said our Military Actions benefit the American public.? My comments are all factual. We have been in peace negotiations with the taliban, the same peoeple who cut this woman's face off. When you think about all the women there who have feared the return of the taliban the entire decade, how does that make you proud to be an American? Your entire argument is based on your emotional position, not facts. Why don't you spend some time researching history instead of revising it?
By: bibblemethis. on 27 May 12, 16:21:03
Our country like every country has a lot of blood in our history and we're clearly not perfect. But to say that our military actions does horrible things to benefit the American public is BS. Eliminating the Nazzi's? isn't just for America's best interest, nor the North Koreans, North Vietnamese, or Taliban/Al Qaeda. This story is a perfect example of why your comment is wrong...it saved the life an Afghan civillian.
By: bibblemethis. on 27 May 12, 16:21:01
What natural resources have we gained from Iraq? Who became rich? All I see is our nation in debt....what natural resources have we gained from Afghanistan?? Their country offers NOTHING to us that we can become "rich" from taking over. Stop? believing that our country only takes action for "money" or "power". There's a thing called national security that has it's best interest for the people of America and the rest of the world.
By: BIuejay. on 27 May 12, 03:05:58
Fuck you, cunt. You're the one? that makes me sick.
By: Rhythmicons. on 27 May 12, 02:11:12
are currenty paying the price for it. We have to hold our government to a higher standard? if we are going to keep this country great. Sending teenage soldiers off to fight for the strategic natural resources that make businessmen in this country filthy rich doesn't benefit anyone but them. Love your country, but don't think that our government is infallable. Just because we have a vast military doesn't mean that it has always been used for righteousness.
By: Rhythmicons. on 27 May 12, 02:06:34
So if our government does horrible things to other nations, as long as they benefit the American public, I guess that makes everything square in your moral worldview? This is a rationale that will justify many crimes, no matter what government you are talking about. You? know, it is good to be patriotic and love your country, but it is also a good thing to look at the actions of our government objectively and hold them accountable. Our government has done some bad things over the years, and we
By: bibblemethis. on 27 May 12, 01:26:48
And you're living in a magical paranoid world that thinks the government is out to get everybody and is only interested in money. If you knew anything about foreign policy, you'd understand some of the benefits our military opperations have provided for the American public. But people like you take those benefits for granted and deny what sacrafices? have been made.

i agree that what was done to this person was an injustice. but there never is a sense of equality between any one, every situation can not be seen as a simple math equation with a solution. things in life are more fluid and require a bias towards one side, such as how men can not get pregnant, and there for do not have as much? say as to whether the child should be born.

By: ezdeth. on 24 May 12, 20:35:53
I grew up Muslim. Been Muslim most of my life. Islam IS a very poor religion. It propagates the fear and hatred of "disbelievers", and gives authority to men to treat women badly. Most Muslims are decent people. But we must be free to address? the religion of Islam. To criticize it when it inspires hatred and resentment and abuse, as it so often does.
By: ezdeth. on 24 May 12, 20:33:11
Their culture is different, but it's a vile and cruel culture that deserves to be condemned, often and repeatedly.? No ideology that allows abuse of women to go on like this should be excused. It's not as if women in those parts of the world deal with beatings and disfiguring and the threat of violence with any less horror than a white western woman would.
