Whatever you chose to believe or not to believe I just wish that one day we can all look out for one another, and do what is right. I haven't been to church in a long time and I've made plenty of mistakes but in these trying times I focus on being the best person I can. I hope to get better at it? every day. The most important thing to me is my family and I consider the world my extended family.

The thing is, most people don't realize that the church comes form the word Ekklesia which means a group of people that gather together in one place, in other words a group of people that share a same belief,? this means that all of those that believe in the message of the Lord Jesus Christ are considered to be "THE CHURCH" so if you really think about it, "YOU" are part or are the church. the problem is, this has been used by religions to cause great harm to humanity. It may seem like Mocking the church but i feel more videos like this are needed. The fact is here in the US of A we have too many churches like this. It makes me sick, and it's unbiblical. The? way we do church these days is not biblical anyways. If it rubbed you the wrong way, i'd pray and ask God exactly what it was that offended you. Sometimes it's God's will for us to be offended. Totally agree that not all churches are like this. I think you might have missed the point of the video. This video was done by church leaders to help church leaders see how we might come across to new people? visiting the church. We have received tremendous feedback from churches around the globe thanking us for helping them see how we might be inadvertently missing the opportunity to connect with people coming to learn about Christ. There is no intent to mock. Just trying to change perspective.

Along with the humor, this video is so much deeper than many people see. This is not about "selling" God. This is about effectively communicating who Jesus is to the people of your community and church. If we focus solely on theology, and not about how to communicate to visitors and members of our church, we have missed the point of the Gospel.? Jesus met people where they were at, and many times changed how he ministered based on who he was speaking to. That is textbook church marketing 101!

Very well done! Even churches that claim that they do not market, market. Marketing is everything you do to communicate who you are and how you present yourself. It ultimately comes down to perception. What do you think of when you hear iPod or Coke? You bring up an image or feeling about the product. How do visitors perceive your church? Most churches encourage their members to invite new people, yet are not prepared to? be inviting visitors yet. This is why most visitors will not come back.

I love this... so much. The church doesn't hold itself responsible to the Great Commission. It has become way to easy to say that one's way of helping is praying or giving monetarily. I thought that it would be clear from the context but let me spell it out for? you. Charity does not need religion, but religion needs charity to justify all the weird rituals and dogmas. If people need fear of eternal fire to do good they are horribly immoral people. I'm glad I live in a country where the majority of people have no problem helping the needy with their time and money even though they only goes to church to be baptized, married and buried.

Love this song. It['s fantastic. Daddy was a preacher and known for going long. Mom packed saltines in her bag for us. (I'm now 58) We didn't have Townhouse yet and Ritz were for rich people. We never saw him eat a raw dove but he did have a? fly go into his mouth once. The choir saw it and it was hard for him to eat raisin pudding for some time. Thanks for posting! Whew... when a band is on, they are really *on*! This and "Tantalized" surely stand alongside the best these songs have ever been played. This music, and the way the band plays, have aged exceedingly well. Their back catalog sometimes sounds to me like music from an alternate reality - a collection of unusual pop paths never taken up by anyone? else in our world - but these revisitings of late shine so amazingly brightly. Thanks for that list. These brothers in Christ surely have the Holy Spirit working in them as they preach. God bless them! One of my personal favorites is Paul Washer because of the same reason. He is a Youth Pastor who preaches the hard? truth of where Christianity is today and how it falls short. Washer and these five on the list has had me in tears because like them, I can see where many "professing" Christians are probably heading.

I've been to Peru on some short-term mission trips. I remember one sermon on Sunday lasting two hours--TWO HOURS!--yet, I could've listened another two because it was such a powerful sermon. In America, we have a whole hour and that's INCLUDING all the announcements, singing, etc. and after all that's done, maybe 20 to 30 minutes at most. STILL, I see people looking at their watch wondering if it's gonna go past the time. There's a difference.? We gotta get our act together, folks!
