Kind of an odd criticism, but if that's the standard than perhaps note how Chappelle's? voice changes from deep and modulated to squeeky-squinty all throughout "Killing Them Softly." Pryor's voice jumps an octave when describing his anxiety. But, what is wrong with a stand-up comedian- who lives and dies by how his words connect- modulating his voice? It's kind of a good idea if you want to hold the audience's attention for an hour. Sounds like a slave? He's focused, articulate and polished.
