well, disagree about the FWD, but then I'm not American. My M5 is my Alfa 164 24V cloverleaf. Better-looking to my eyes than the BM but a similar concept. Light;1400kg, 230hp, best-sounding V6 'ever' and with polybush suspension and new rubber has serious? handling.

It's been raining in England for the past 6 weeks, so this is a damp test. The GT-R Track Pack seems a bit half-hearted and, on-paper, the 997 Turbo S is the closest rival. I went to an evening track event at Brands hatch to discover the differences/ work out if the Track pack is worth the extra cash.

There is no new Turbo S out there. The 991 Turbo will be released later in this year or so, and after a couple of years later, they will facelift it and probably add the "S" in to it, as they did with the previously 997 & 996. ... The? new Turbo will for sure be really good.

Because they were probably under priced when they originally launched. They now have a very firm foot hold in the market, and the car is respected like crazy everywhere. So they realised the new model can be sold? for more, and it is definitely a better car. It hasnt added 20K of value in terms of parts, but the car now fits better into the price range

You are aware that he favors the standard GTR over the standard 911 right? He does like his Porsches (which I hate) but I don't think he is too biased by that fact. He is right in this video I think. The? price of the GTR Track Pack isn't motivated by it's upgrades. Neither is buying any porche if you want comparable performance on a track (or comparable boot space). If you are looking for quality, go for Porsche.

At the same time, the GT3/GT3RS is? a car one would only use at weekends. The Turbo could be your only car - with the more road-biased setup, it's quieter and more comfortable, it's more tractable thanks to the low-end torque and it can cope with all weather conditions short of two feet of snow. The GT3RS would simply have spun off if driven as hard in such wet conditions as above.

Spring rates & rebound was an absolute new science that probably still plagued IRSs' ? When I was about 8YO someone in our neighborhood had this SL, in red. It would be worth a mint by now! Still, servicing, parts and insurance was expensive back then even as it is today. Making the MB far too expensive to have & drive.

Well the '57 C1 Corvette did have 265hp (which? is 40 more than the 225hp in the SL) but I'd still had drum brakes while this model of 300SL Roadster had disc-brakes. Not to mention the C1 had a solid rear axle while the 300SL had fully independant dual-wishbone suspension (not to mention the 300SL had coil-springs and not leaf springs like the Corvette). Needless to say I think the SL would be the better deal.

What the fuck is a "Nissan GTR35 VQ engine" Nissan makes a car called the 'GT-R' It's chassis code is often shortened to R35 It uses a VR38DETT. Put a 2jz engine can handle 800 hp on stock internals and low cost easy setup. Is one of the best engines ever made for raw horsepower. If your looking for performance, the Rb26Dett is the killer. But Nissan GTR35 VQ engine is the? perfect balance between these two engines. I will prefer the VQ because its modern.

Drove this car yesterday in Beverly Hills. My dad owns a Ferrari Challenge Stradale, and I have to say, the Mclaren is on a completely new level. Even compared to? a 458 or 599GTO (both of which I have driven), the Mclaren felt like the first time I had ever driven a car. The experience was absolutely mindblowing, they really nailed it with this thing. Well done, Mclaren, well done.

tuner car yes, but it has a high comp motor. this thing is gonna be helluva expensive to make make more powerful. to do a turbo, the motor will have to be rebuilt. a set of? pistons cost about $800- just for the pistons. this reason is why i would not have minded 50hp extra? for a few thousand dollars more. Plus when you turbo a car, all that hard work and money spent will mean nothing without a good tune. honestly 240hp would have been fine-a few bolt ons and 250ish would have been attainable

Must agree with this entirely. I often visit the track and while it's good to use slicks to get the best lap times, it is a bit dodgy when the grip? runs out. I test drove a 991 with my dad a few weeks ago. We clearly drove different cars... The exhaust not was spectacular. I haven't heard a better flat six in person. And I don't know of a car that can slide at 3.5k rpm? Maybe a car that has all its torque there, like a 335i, but that won't drive like a porsche. the reason why Chris Harris keeps catching up on corners is cause the XJ220 doesn't have ABS where the XKRS has u can go full maximum braking power but on the XJ220 he's probably at say? 90-95% thresh for safety reasons..

@joeyallen08 and I was also told at same dealership that the trannies are 18k USD to replace which is outrageous you could put a tranny in 15 vehicles for that lol. Don't know if it's worth it. When I test drove it they wouldn't allow launch control so I don't know that much from exp. but it was quick without it. Just think you? will use one to try yourself the next to show a friend and one to show off. Then it's no longer a sub 3 sec car it's normal acc from there on that still sucks

@joeyallen08. Yea I still think its under engineered for the price. The tranny doesnt hold up and they still restrict the launch control on a car you pay that much for. Every car it competes with that has launch control can be used at owners discretion. I just think they should of by now solved that issue. So either they need more time or they? over did themselves and still looking for solution don't know. Even three tunes ain't enough in a car you own.

Using launch control in the Nissan GTR 2012 model no longer voids the warranty,? you can use the launch control successfully 3 times until it locks you out of the system, it has to be driven for a few miles before you can use launch control again.

The BMW is not really a twin turbo. There's a scroll in the intake with two small turbine fans that rely more on intake pressure than exhaust. So when the mods come out and it actually gets a turbo iir will beat most that it don't now. Why BMW didn't use real turbos like every other mfr. that's? what BMW does they reinvent the wheel. Great car the Nissan though. Just cheap and you void warranty for using launch control which is cheesy.

i love the gtr more than the ss BUT a 1500hp gtr WILL NOT last for 2 years, ams could claim a lot but the fact is that the alpha omega has a 4 litre v6 and thats not enough to deliver such an monstrous amount of pover for a long period of time. koenigseggs and bugattis are build to deliver a lot for a very long time (i dont know if there was any engine failure on? them so far) because they are build for that. they could do at leat 2000hp but for how long? ;)

yes look no doubt i like the bugatti BUT with 16 cilinders and 4 turbo's you would expect more than only 1200 hp when a gtr (modded) delivers 1500 hp at? the wheels and that you will be smoked for 5% of the cost by the gtr when you pay 1,8 mil for the ss, its not worth it so no my love is for ams gtr or ugr gallardo
