I drove the Cayman S 2010 , I beat the following : Infiniti G37s , Infiniti G35 , Lexus LS460 until 220 , Camaro SS from 0 to 200 and from 60 to 200 ... I wish I could take videos but I don't have it .. anyhow any one wants to buy it , i recoomend this car but put in mind that it? don't have much space for your cargo in the rear and it's for 2 persons only ..

I am 6'2" and 250+ lbs and I fit very well into my 07 Cayman S with my helmet on (for track days). I find the seat goes back just a hair past what I need and there is 3-4" over my head in the "bubble roof". I have the stock 12 way power seats, the adaptive sport seats of sport bucket seats may be different. All I? can say is get one!

Fair point, but watch Top Gear some time. People with much, MUCH bigger budgets and MUCH broader exposure do the same stuff, for a MUCH larger audience. It's just part of working? with a camera car; you cross over, or you ONLY get front-on views. There's also a general understanding there that it's a professional driver, closed course, etc. They're not going to do that unless they have a cleared/controlled road.

Great review as usual. The cocaine reference somehow fit. Tony Montana did drive a 928...I like the review because it doesn't let me down like the other Youtube car shows and Top Gear America. I think the biggest problem is that everyone tries to copy British TG, and not be as good. Or they do the opposite and be so boring that I would rather read a book? than hear their presenters speak. Everyday Driver holds little pretension and delivers entertaining info without being annoying.

Nonsense, the 135i really has a? 330HP engine detuned to 300HP. Only the M3 V8 has 404HP, the 135i uses the twin-turbo inline-6 of the 335i and 335is.

One other thing... the 135i really has a 404hp engine, detuned to 300. For around $2500 you can have your BMW dealer dial it up for you without affecting the factory warranty. Add a $700 4" down pipe, and your in the mid-11s through the quarter mile and the mid-to-high 3s to? 60. Bottom line: DO NOT race a 135i, anything could be hiding under that hood.

If that's the case then there should be 911s that offer 1.5L engines. And what's the use of those rear seats? Only if you're raise an? infant. I like the fact that the 911 constantly being refined but rear engine constantly throws the car outward at a corner and addressing it costs WAY too much money as the GT2 RS costs way more than the Corvette ZR1 and the Nissan GTR for about the same performance. That's where the mid-engined Cayman comes and it is possible to put turbos on it.

That means going through corners requires less braking and accelerating, thus improving lap times at a cheaper price. Also, while the Cayman? may be a little slower in 0-60, it can expand its wheelbase to fit a bigger torquier engine unlike 911's limited engine bay. Therefore, the Cayman can be more able to compete with the Corvetter ZR1 and the Nissan GTR.

The man in the video made it extremely clear that the Cayman is perhaps the best car made by Porsche and that the engine is in the right place. If Porsche's engineers were geniuses like you said, they would have realized 47 years ago that the 911's engine would forever compromise its performance. I will agree with you on the flat 6 in? the Cayman. With the sport chrono pack, limited slip diff, PASM and carbon ceramic brakes, it is possibly the best sportscar on the market.

I'm tired of the BS girly stereotype. The Boxster MAYBE can be considered girly since its a beetle looking convertible, but there's nothing wrong with the Cayman (plus the new Boxster is drop-dead sexy). The 911 is a timeless shape which belongs to one of the most well performing cars on the planet. The Cayenne, Panamera, Macan, and 918 are masculine rides, not speaking bout the Carrera GT. Best sounding car on the road with Sport Chrono. I wanted a street and track car so I disagree with this guy. PPCB is totally worth the $ and add back in the AC, Navigation and Bose stereo. This car has traction control.If you have driving talent, you can literally drive circles around any other car on? the west coast. You feel like Andretti every time you drive ot and the smiles per mile are worth every dollar. Get the 6 speed manual and 175 mph on Hwy 280 at sunrise is totally worth the risk...

I thought this was an excellent car review. I'm really tired of so-called car reviews that focus on funny phrases and colorful analogies (Top Gear style). Porsche will not release? the new updated mid-engine Cayman until late in 2012 because the business needs to realize early ROI on the updated Carrera and Boxster. If you check the specs of the Boxster S you will see it is faster and about the same horsepower as the Cayman S. Why? Because the update models are not out yet for the Cayman and they will be held back until Winter of 2012. Also, a well optioned Cayman S ( or R ) is better than a base 911 Carrera for most people that want a daily ride.

they arent the most light weight wheels you can buy....those are on the GT2, and GT3 RS and can be specd on the turbo with the centre locking wheel nut. With the mid engine? layout this car could be some thing incredible. The carrera GT was way ahead of its time. Doesnt make sense porsche build better mid engined cars that those who usually do it, but they still focus on the 911 way too much. e.g. the GTS, no need for a carrera S, GTS and GT3

I now believe that it's an indefensible practice. It's sole purpose is to avoid taxation. However it's difficult? to ban because the simple act of having that little piece of paper from the Cayman Islands means the money is not under US jurisdiction. And you can't just completely ban money going overseas because there are legitimate reasons for it to go overseas. And lots of campaign donations come from people who use the Caymans, so lawmakers are in no hurry to outlaw it.

This is correct. Here's what happens. I would call our Cayman attorneys at Walkers and ask them to form an LP. They can do it really fast and they have all the infrastructure for complying with Cayman Law. They would then e-mail? me a color PDF of the Cayman Certificate of of Limited Partnership. I would then forward that to Goldman Sachs and they would open the account and register it as being in the Cayman Islands. The money never leaves the US.

Using your example, if we reviewed a? 2012 Golf but labeled it a 2008 some dude like yourself would complain when we mentioned the adaptive bi-xenon headlight option, which wasn't offered in 2008. KBB, along with every other media outlet, would identify the Cayman R in this video as a 2012. That's not cheating, or even trying to cheat. That's accurately describing which model year vehicle we drove.

of course there are 2012 makes, just as there are 2012 make golf VIs, although the golf VI was launched in 2008. you still call it a 2008 golf VI, not a 2012 golf VI, because it is a car? from 2008, not from 2012 the cayman R was launched, i googled it now, in early 2011. it has not changed since then. so it is a 2011 cayman R. if you call it a 2012 cayman R you're misleading your viewers into thinking you reviewed a new model of cayman, thus you're basically cheating for more viewership

Awesome driving! Maybe get? on the throttle a little quicker out of the bends, but It's definitely the drivers skill that kept up with the GT3 so well. Awesome.

I had to laugh at the 'gene pool' part. lmao. anyway, what i meant to say at the time was fraters times are independent of anyone elses, like he could have run 10.15 seconds in the blake race and it wouldn't mean much. BUT i see your point now, you can easily use him as reference since if you gave him the wind of the bolt race he would have ran the same time or? faster in the blake race. so yeah, bit of a misunderstanding on my part.

Maybe so but Gay's problem is lack of competition, is it not ? I mean, how will he perfect his technique without actually going against top competition, which he doesn't plan on doing till just before the US trials, i believe. At least Gatlin is going against top competition and refining his technique in time? for London. I don't think it's gonna work out for Gay, wish him the best though.

I worry there is a new undetectable designer steroid going around based on history, just too many? fast times, bolt has set the bar so high, that younger fans don't appreciate the times, 100m running is not rocket science, its 98% genetics. Todays times are faster than yesterdays doped times.

this run isnt more impressive than bolts race if u notice he had to work hard to take command of this race he worked harder than bolt's 9.82 FOR INSTANCE michael? frater was ages behind bolt after 40 meter soo bolt was just cruising cuz he got the race in the bag,blake worked harder while bolt was effortless thats the difference,dont be fooled by wind reading cuz bolt break the 200m world record at beijing in a head wind that was very impressive,better run that blakes 19.26 OK
