i dont know where you get ur stats from but rolle has 41 tackles and matthews had only 17 according to nfl.com plus u obviously didnt watch matthews play when he started he was atrocious, he couldn't? shed any blocks and was routinely out of position perhaps he will have a better season next year but he did not and does not deserve to start again this year

casey will be moved to the weakside LB spot while chaney will be on the MLB spot. casey? should have never been put as MLB, at least right now anyways, so hopefully he can be better on the weakside until he bulks up and becomes better as he has more space on the outside. the wide 9 DL scheme is leaving too many open gaps that the LBs will have to fill in time. I think the LBs will get better as the season goes on, though the Eagles should start dixon with jenkins to stuff the run.

That is incorrect, for the few games he was in there, if he didn't lead the game in tackles, he was 2nd or 3rd. Relax killer! He is a rookie, with a short season. It took? Trotter 3 years before getting the playing time he did. Clay had more because he played more...But Casey actually averaged more tackles than Clay, Trotter, Ray Lewis or Demarcus Ware in they're rookie year. People need to be more patient! You same haters will be his biggest fans.

No i got you, friendly discussions, but i think he did in the fact that he kept him them and Hillis out of endzone. He made the correct calls and adjustments to prevent them from doing so, and the key play to me was on the 1 drive they were driving down the field, i think the one play that killed the drive was a play where Hillis could have easily went all the way if not? a big gain, but was forced out of bounds by Matthews who was on him like glue.

the beauty of preseason, is that it's a televised practice. better to learn and fix it now, then in the regular season. one concern is the shortened offseason and? getting all these new faces learning from new coaches without the minicamps/OTA's and with the new practice rules in training camp which are just walkthroughs the second half of each day. teams will be shakier the start of the season from a shortened offseason, as well as adjusting to the new rules.

the LBs did better against the browns. casey was able to make tackles and improved greatly upon his poor? play against the steelers. he even did well at coverage at times and having brian rolle there in passing plays gives them some flexibility. i would agree that chaney should be MLB so that casey can be OLB to just rush the qb/rb and cover without the playcalling/reading responsibility, though chaney can do well on the outside with his speed. a healthy dixon & patterson will help the LBs more.

i dont completely disagree with you, we could use an upgrade at linebacker and moving juan has me worried, but lets give them a chance. i feel like most, myself included, are looking at our linebackers as our weak spot, and they are dont get me wrong, but its a weak spot on a team stacked at other positions. compared to other linebacking cores in the league, ours is average, not good,? but not good. where did you lose me though was saying matthews shouldve been a 7th rd pick..........cmon bro lol

My bad, I do not read off of a script, so sometimes I forget shit. I did write an annotation after I posted the video of MLB that I remembered without looking it up. When Stew Bradley was on the roster and on the field, our defense was very sound and we were able to stop the run. When he was off of the field, our defense sucked. He was part of the #3 defense in the NFL in 2008. He didn't play 4 games, he played from the Jags? game to the Cowboys game. More like 12 games.

Well I did like Stewart Bradley, but unfortunately he was very injury prone, but if you are going to replace him with anyone, you replace him with Jamar Chaney, a guy who proved more then the new guy. He drafted Corey Simon, Sheldon, Lito, and Mikell (didn't draft, but picked up? as an undrafted free agent). I want to see Chaney, Fokou, and Clayton out there. I seem to remember Akeem Jordan being pretty good at OLB, but he must have slid in skill.

Hey good luck with the new apartment man. And have you noticed...our ability to judge defensive players (especially linebackers) in the draft since Andy took over has been POOR. VERY? POOR. We've gotten lucky with like Cole in the 5th round, but what else? Everyone else was either added or just drafted recently...
