I agree that its pretty interesting to see people so engaged in doing something so menial once you make a "game" out of it. If the goal is to see if you can make people do it for 1-2? days, then yes, its an adequate experiment. But its ultimately pointless. However, if the goal is to get people to do this over the long-term, it is not an adequate experiment. I guarantee you that many of those people will never go back to that machine after several days.

With root crops like potatoes it can cause aflotoxins to form in the skins ( don't eat the skin of a potatoe if it is green) Aestetically there will be some algae growth after a while, and it has the appearance of a dirty aquarium. With my window farm I wrapped some fabric around the bottom to avoid the chemicals in the paint.?

From what I have read, BPA leaches most when there is heat applied,Given that the sun can get pretty warm through a window, then the anwer is yes, but I don't know how much since the plants don't have much contact with the plastic. It is probably less than the vegies that are field grown on black plastic for weed control. ( That is allow even for organic farming) If one? reuses the nutrient solution there would be more BPA .

i loved the old gerber bottles. My daughter did really good with them 6yrs ago. Too bad they don't make them anymore. I noticed you didn't review the MAM bottles. They are a good choice also. I've used the Playtex dropins, but my daughter would gag on the long nipples, same with the ventaire.? My daughter couldn't take the standard size nipples either, she would suck too hard and collapse the nipple to where nothing came through it.

He finally got over all the tummy issues. I breastfed him until he was about 8 months. Looking back I think some of the problems might have been with what I was eating and drinking. At about 4 months we started the process of? elimination...it seemed to get better after that. :)

my little girl? would not take the regular dr.browns either. she likes the platex drop in nipp;les the best but they are harder to heat up in the bottle warmer. I use the dr. brown's and avent bottles to warm up the milk, since i didn't use them and they were so expensive and then i put them in the platex drop in. They are really easy to clean and sterilize too! Does you son still have collic? Sometimes it can be the formula and not the bottle.

I have been using the Medala bottles for the past 6 months. I stopped nursing and noticed that my son was spitting up a lot. I thought it was the bottle so I tried the? I hear that... I changed my tupper wear to bpa free pyrex and my drinking glasses all to glass too. All we can do is all we can do. Some things we cant do anything about but we should indeed do our research with things like this. With that being said I dont see to much of a problem with useing bottles to grow in. If you examine the inside of most? aluminum cans in the USA, like soda cans, and ALSO like tomato cans, fruit cans, juice cans, etc...you will discover that npowadays most all of these vessels are lined with a very thin coat of plastic. Some cans you can see the plastic liner easily because it's pure white in color. Beverage cans usually use a clear plastic coating. ALL contain BisPhenolA or BPA.

there are lots of really important points in this video, but the whole thing is mixing? together several issues: the non-renewability of petrochemical resources, contamination of goods for human consumption, contamination of the environment, culpability of commercial businesses and government in controlling quality. Some of these are quite separate issues that all just happen to apply to bottled water. They also apply to Cola, milk and all drinks provided in plastic. Water is not unique in this.

You should do some research on an area called the Pacific Gyre. It's an area in the Pacific ocean where currents converge bringing with them all of the plastic waste that doesn't biodegrade. It is estimated to be about the size of the state of Texas and the plastic waste occupies the top 10 meters of the water column. Maybe not "all" but I think you'd agree it's a lot.....perhaps consider a drive across Texas to get some perspective.?

@HiddenxHydra I happen to disagree, this is my favourite Silversun Pickups song. It's as catchy as the more recognized songs, but with more flair and? just about as much or more substance. copeland made these songs come alive. in a 3 piece band the bass gets lost, so andy and stewart had? to do the work. andy does a great job, but the Police songs were all about rhythm, especially the middle of the road album tracks, which Stewart turned into dynamite with his drumming. Sting, you suck, and the others made you who you are.
