I like to think that I am always pro-woman. In this particular case I say let them have their boys club. I understand why the chairman would be standoffish in answers because women are a force to be reckoned with and if they? really wanted to be a part of their silly club they would eventually likely get their way...lol. I wish there were more womens clubs. Do women ceo's have their own exclusive places? They should, They are extraordinary and deserve to be set apart from the men!!!

why do you pretend you would have "more respect" if they said they want to stay a "boys club". your use of the term? boys club (to envoke an image of 9 year olds in their tree fort) only underscores how much this issue bothers you. I would have more respect for you if you would just come out and say this clubs policy bothers you. I have heard augusta address this issue not long ago and say.. there are both mens and womens clubs in this country, we are a mens club. can we relax the PC a bit?

If Billy Payne and Augusta Nationals members agree with allowing women to be members then that is their choice but if not then no one in the world has the right to say who should be members not even the president. That's not the municipal course that borders the National; it's the Augusta Country Club. Presidents have played that course, as well. The city's? course, called The Patch, is right next to the airport.

No not even close. it Augusta Country Club that backs up to it. Before i moved here i came up form Columbia to see? it and could nto believe ihow hard it was to see anything. I;m hoping to get an open slot this year to be a gallery guard on a hole my fahter in law works on. I love this place to and am fortunate to get to attend every practice round.

I just can't believe how difficult it is to see any part of the golf course from surrounding streets etc. I've read that if you play the Augusta municipal course that a hole rubs up fairly close? to Amen Corner. If I ever get back there, maybe I'll play the muni course and see it that way.

LMAO! This is SO good! I remember almost the same experience 22 years ago, although we didn't have a video camera and he didn't climb the trees, my husband made us drive there on our Honeymoon. Because we had to stop at Augusta National, we then had an? 18 hr straight drive back to Canada to be at work the next day. Eih...it's like the quest for the Holy Grail!
