Albers reed in een opgeleukte GP2 auto, die midland was dramatisch traag en albers heeft eruit? gehaald wat er in zat. Weet niet of je albers ooit in de DTM hebt gevolgd maar daar in een vergelijkbare auto als de rest reed ie vaak genoeg de podiums op.

Het gezegde is "je bent zo goed als je laatste race". Het is natuurlijk aardig om coureurs met elkaar te vergelijken die middelmatig of die beneden middelmatig presteren. Het gaat uiteindelijk om het totaalpakket wat een coureur inbrengt. Zijn rijder-schap, zijn technische inbreng en? de daaraan verbonden samenwerking met de technische staf en zijn eigen verdere ontwikkeling. Dat laatste, en niet te vergeten het sponsorprobleem, deden hem uiteindelijk de das om in de F1 haaienbak.

It was sad to see Albers out of F1, he had? alot of potential and never had the chance of driving a good car, he only raced the slowest and second slowest cars. Put him in a mid-field car and he would of shown he is a F1 driver.

I used to see Eef Albers live in the early 80's in Zurich Switzerland with the John Lee/Gerry Brown Group. He was unbelievable and so was everybody else in that quartet that also featured Daryl Thompson, another amazing and underrated guitarist.... that was some? of the best guitar based funk/fusion that I ever heard!!

I studied at the Conservatory in the haque were i had 2 years lessons from him. Eef is a genius and can play almost everything. Wait till you hear him play Jazz standards with just a clean sound. This man is way to good. He was my teacher and i'm telling you he is? one off the best guitar player, not only in Holland but i think even in the world.

WOW! what an amazing afternoon. We just arrived at Laren for a day trip, and we walked towards the central crossing in the middle of Laren (The Netherlands) when we heard a loud noise. It was Ex-formula 1 and DTM Driver Christijan Albers and his personal Porsche Carrera GT with sports exhausts!!! OMG!! I immediately grabbed my camera and started shooting. What a sound and what a car!!

Liep vandaag door de stad (adam) hoor ik in de verte hard geronk. Het? moest een supercar zijn. Ik hoorde welke kant hij opging, dus ik kon via een parallelweg even kijken of hij nog langs zou komen. Zag ik een carrera GT voorbij vliegen, en het mooie was dat ie bij het volgende kruispunt ging keren waardoor ik hem op de foto kon zetten. Hij parkeerde hier in de reguliersdwarsstraat in een garage. Monegaskisch kenteken, ik heb het nummer niet onthouden maar zou goed kunnen dat het christian was.

That was the merit of racing: trying to go the path you have to go even if what you´re using will try to take its own decisions. What is it special to drive a car that seems to go like on railway rails? I am not a fan of over expensive things that does not hold true value because it means ridiculous unreasonable pricing. I don't think? there was intent, that's just how they were priced. That is why Porsche should upgrade their vehicles without much increasing the price of their vehicles. Because if they do, it would mean even higher pricing.

Glad to see? you included Paul Horbiger in the tags! I can never really understand why Lilan Harvey was so popular in Germany. She was never such a star in English speaking countries. her singing voice is very shrill. But hey! Stiil more quality than many of the so called stars of today. Brilliant clip!

Albers was good driver.? He drive aggressive even in shitty car. That takes guts cos those shity car don't stick to well to the ground. and even in slower car he still run fast and make it to qualify 2 session. I wish he can get better car but this did not happen for him :( .

He was very good in the Midland, put it into Q2 quite a fair few times, and had a chance for 8th in turkey in 2006, but had very long pit stop, so his chance was gone. 2007 they introduced the harder tyre, which was not good for him, as he is an aggressive driver, he struggled and had to learn to adapt his driving style to the new tyres. Just a shame he got sacked RIGHT before the new car, which he would? of been quick in, as like 70% of the new car was his imput.

So what if Monteiro had the highest race finish? He started that race (Hungary) as 16th, Albers 22nd (last). What if Monteiro finished only this race as 9th and in front of Albers,? while the other races in that season he finished behind Albers and he got only 10th as highest position. Would you still say that Monteiro is the better one, despite he finished 1 time infront of Albers and has the highest race finish?

Sorry man, at the end of the 2006 season Albers won the internal battle. Monteiro-Albers (R=Retired, D=Disqualified) 17-R, 13-12, R-11, 16-R, 12-13, 16-R, 15-12, 16-15, 14-R, R-R, R-15, D-D, 9-10, R-R, R-17, R-15, 16-R-15-14 DNFs: Monteiro: 6, Albers:? 7, both disqualifies for 1 race According to the race finishes Albers won with 8, to the 7 of Monteiro. Without counting the races they both didnt finish. And so what if Jacques says that. Admit it: Schumi isn't clean either (7x WC)

Sorry to spoil it but during that race the Jordan that Monteiro was driving was better than the Minardi that Albers was driving in 2005. And that race was a 6 car "race" (Ferrari, Jordan and Minardi teams) Minardi was the slowest car on the grid, the Jordan how ever could be good if used properly like in Spa, where he scored a point on his own without starting with just 6 or 8 cars. When Albers became Monteiro's teammate at Midland (former Jordan) Monteiro was sweeped away? by Albers
