I'm sure every song you ever liked has to have been deeply sophisticated when held up to Shakespearian standards, all songs? produced for entertainment must be terrible. And so maybe it's hard to compare the lyrics of a genre to classic literature. And it's true for must stuff. I don't know about? Shakespeare, but I've found numerous sophisticated rappers and rap songs. I.E. " I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophies and hypothesis can't define how I be droppin these mockeries, lyrically perform armed robbery Flee with the lottery, possibly they spotted me" "Shacklin the masses with drastic rap tactics Graphic displays melt the steel like blacksmiths" Both are from Wu-Tang Clan's Triumph.

And yes alot of rap is vulgar but so was Shakespear. He had the dirtiest subliminals you can imagine and it's COMEDY. We ARE animals, buddy. The metaphors/wordplay/flow/rhyme schemes/subliminals are unmatched by any other genre right NOW. Shakespeare being close on metaphors/wordplay/subliminals but still no other genre is as good? today. Animals are basically vulgar, they shit and fornicate in public, lay in their own waste + sometimes eat their young, get it? So what's wrong with it is that it is degrading unless of course you see yourself as an animal then I guess you revel in it, but I wouldn't really know as I am a human being.
