Also metal hydrides are WAY more environmentally unfriendly then cadnium due to the rare earth components needed. Yes they are less toxic when improperly? disposed of then cadnium, but environmental impact is more then just about what happens at the end of the product's life. And I already conceeded that the NiMH more resillent to the memory effect then NiCd, but you still fail to prove that the nickle based batteries in the prius has no/little effect after 6 years and 100+k miles.

Seriously, NO review shows you what happens to these crappy nickle based batteries after that much use because it is assumed that you would sell and get a new car before those marks. The latest prius uses the LiPo in japan and europe...only the US gets short changed with the cruddy old battery tech. NiCd of NIMH, doesn't matter much as both suffer from memory leech. Okay so the NiMH is slower about it...but it is still there and still an issue. Many reviews have their long term tests end after a few (4 at most) years and WAY under the 100k mark. I think I will? take the word of the dealer over a review that never reach said mark.

First of all Prius nor Insight never used Ni-Cd but Ni-Mh batteries. and you obviously made that up about the dealership as it is really not a? common issue! Many reviews have been made about durability of the batteries and those prove that durability doesn't drop significantly after years of use. No, she drove around 20k miles per year so? it's not lack of use and it was not bad luck since the dealership told her that it was COMMON for the prius NiCd batteries to wear out at that rate. The LiPo batteries in the newer prius in japan and europe is an unkown because while they lack the memory issue of the NiCd, their life cycle is number of charges based and that is not a good model for a hybrid, but awesome for EVs. We will see how long the LiPo on my friends kia hybrid lasts.

I guess your friends wife had bad luck or she didn't drive her car any. Regular use of the batteries should not wear them out. Not using them for long period of time however could have an effect. Also I think that when comparing hybrid and diesel engines the latter have advantage over hybrid being and established engine technology. Hybrid engines on the? other hand are relatively new technology (at least in commercial sense) and I admire progress made so far

Oh really? Tell that to my friend's wife who sold her prius when she found out how much it costs? to replace the battery pack on her's when it wore out after 6 years. Yes if you don't plan on changing your cars pretty much right after you paid them off, then you don't have to change the batteries...for people who like to keep their cars longer (their previous car lasted 14 years)...then it is a bloody big issue.

the crz is pretty sweet but a diesel hybrid is ultimately the way to go, as in a diesel engine powering a electric engine, no transmission.... like a train! but i am a die hard diesel fan and bias to tdi (i own one) and i know for a fact that a dpf delete and tune will not only bring consumption damn near? 4L/100km but also return a sexy 180hp and a whopping 330lb-ft of torque. that and he would have gotten better milage in 5th, 6th is for over 75mph... have fun burning your engine honda!

The current model year Impreza is much slower than this car. They removed the sporty aspect of the 2013 Impreza entirely, because this car does what the base N/A Impreza never could quite achieve... They obviously had the resources and the time to make a full-fledged race car out of the BRZ,? but they for some reason didn't, which pissed many people off. To me, this platform looks more like a Subaru than a Scion. I don't? think the FR-S needs to exist. We need more cars like this. Who cares about track times and whatnot? A car needs to be made to be driven. Not thrown around a track or down an interstate at illegal speeds. A good car makes the drive something of its own. Hmmm, the gore. Yeah, it was really brutal at times. But I? actually didn't mind it at all. SPOILER: The only 'gory' scene that I didn't like was the scene were the guy gets a fork in his eye and then gets his throat slit open. It just was so sudden and out-of-place and actually unnecessary. But, overall an excellent film. I agree.

The gore was completely necessary and well done. I found it cringingly realistic. This coming from one whose seen thier fair share of rottendotcom, /b etc.? As for the elevator scene I didn't think it was so much a cheap gore shot but one that defined just how freaking intense that situation was. Irene's shock, horror & fear even. As well as the extent to which Driver is willing to go. You don't have to smash a guy's entire head in to kill him by kicking it, but he does.

Disagree. I feel like all the gore scenes in this movie are flawless. This movie tricks you. I mean that in the best way possible. First you think its going to be action? packed because of the first 5 minutes. Then the next hour is 100% artsy which is awesome. By that point, the least thing your expecting is to see extremely violent scenes which I felt made those scenes more realistic and horrifying. Your drawn into a world that doesn't seem so different then real life and then it hits you.

As? far as I'm concerned, "Drive" is an instant classic whose future reputation will reflect just that. I could not? disagree with you more regarding the elevator scene; it was perfect! It's a tricky thing, because I have no idea what happens when? a skull gets bashed in. It's hard to tell if the violence was trying to be 'realistic' or over-the-top 80's style violence. There's a fine line. And I agree, that it did take me out just because I felt it was clashing, stylistically. Everything else is brilliant though.

No body said this is an Off Roader....This is a CrossOver with AWD system on demand. Not even the Forester is an Off Roader. I believe this car is doing very well for the type of car it is and the price it has. Actually the only problem in this car is the ground? clearance. In Germany it is actually considered a better option over the Rav4. The only small SUV with real off road skills is the Suzuki Vitara, it does have Low Range and Diff Lock.

Tucson not meant for winter, and idk about yours but mine on the highway is shit I can hardly hit 60 to 80 kph if theres a little ice I had old beater cars passing me everything doing 100kph when i couldnt do that becuase the rear end was like a snake uncontrolled! the FWD felt safer on the road!

This was really well filmed. Personally I think it looked like the Tucson was struggling a little, but that is on just normal tires,? I think my Legacy on its normal tires would have been spinning a little bit, probably if you applied studded snow tires these cars would do quite a lot better, and in the northwest most people whom enjoy the outdoor activities have the studded tires in their garages anyway.
