That makes so much sense. That is my BIGGEST issue: not releasing properly. In fact, Sean Foley said something similar in terms of allowing the clubhead to? pull your arms through the swing and the follow-through. Great vid. Thank you!

33...that is awesome! Keep it up! Soon a full release will be a natural part of your swing and you won't have to think any more. And yes....you do have to make the drill a part of your routine and practice regimen for a few weeks til you feel? the fast hands AND release all together naturally. I will be posting more videos as we move forward.

P.S. I have also played about 5 rounds of 9 holes and 2 or 3 18 rounders. my gir is up to about 70% from 30-40% and fairways from 20% to 80%. No noticable loss if dist. And par 3's... Ha? money.

Wanted to post that after not just watching this video but ACTUALLY using the drill I shot a course best 89 at "cenntenial golf course, medford oregon" from purple tees was 100% due to this swing drill. But I must say that you MUST keep using the drill...or the I'm good now factor comes into play. Awesome video! Can you post a video on body position at adress with how to transfer weight forward. "I leave a right foot heel divot"? Also how to? follow through. Thanks!

More proof of why people fail who think they have to start the downswing? with the legs...or by dropping the club hard into the slot. If you don't have a release, all it does it throw you over the top and you're guilty of holding onto the club too long. Learn to release hands and clubhead as fast as possible, then a golfer can add those? other moves to increase distance.

33...it will be easy for anyone to misinterpret the move as? putting a flip into your swing. The drill isolates the pure motion of the hands and arms in the golf swing without any other part of the body being involved. What most people don't understand is that by releasing the hands...and particularly snapping the left hand faster....it actually creates more clubhead speed. Once it is ingrained into your swing, then you can accentuate it by firing the hands more quickly.

It will work. In order to create more lag you already have to have a full release of your hands. When the hands are traveling more than 100 miles? an hour increased lag is achieved by firing your left hand faster. I have to learn to release the golf club first to the point of snap hooking it. Only then can you properly fire the left hand faster to create more lag.
