I don't think there is enough reliance on factual properties to determine a 'win-all' strat, which is where the 'clutch' tactics come in for humans, if it were the case for a computer to depend on random decision, in all instances of a '3' unit of different types battle, and if those? units were being micro'd, it seems the computer would not consistently engage the target, and for 'toss' that could be an easy win.

It seems? that in many cases the computer would either be dependent on a 'good' strategy to win, which may not always work, because there are many strategies. And the computer would need to not only compensate for hard counters, but know how to deal with soft counters in a micro management situation.. Such as that moving 'shielded' units around to best soak up damage. Or how to line up units for best efficiency in killing only '1' target, but not multiple. If you have 2 units...

But an AI to be efficient couldn't rely on simply random choice. Maybe a set random build order, but in order to be? efficient a good 'ai' it would need to properly counter units. As said before, some 'are' hard counters, but you can change the game to not simply 'this unit beats this unit', as in the case for marines for collosi. The AI would need to decide in that scenario how to compensate for the micro, otherwise that counter is ineffective, and the 'system' fails.

First, I wouldn't call it "less calculations in SC2", but more like "even more in chess". The example I gave was meant to emphasize, that in chess, every "unit" can be beat by every other, while in SC2 there are many invalid options, like roaches attacking air, or "easy to calculate" ones like single (!) marine vs? colossus. The same holds for Go, if you know it: you actually ONLY have black or white stones, and *because* of this simplicity, it's even more complicated than chess.

The counters can't be consistent because the economy will dictate what you can spend on what.. This is when strategy comes into play, this is where scouting is important.. If you can't produce the proper counters, haven't scouted, it's not a matter of timing, and? proper counters, it's a matter of composition. Chess you have a set number of pieces, over the entire course of the game, a set amount of moves, a set of properties for those pieces. Now you just calculate the moves possible.

It seems like chess 'counters' are easier to me than to decide when to upgrade damage, or armor for a unit, and how that affects gameplay. So 8 or so marines in a straight row against a collosus, given they are placed in such? a way that the beams pass over all of them.. What about if they're in a straight line? What if they have upgrades? What if you micro them? If the enemy has one viking and weak marines?

AI that can beat individuals in chess, but there hasn't been AI in gaming that we've been able to create that doesn't follow a strict grid for building based on our own calculations (which isn't AI) and is capable of out-microing and countering an enemy.. Focus firing, timing a blink, things of this nature.. It's 'possible' but you're making it seem 'easy'.

Because if chess is about moving a piece on set of sqaures in any given combination for best efficency against other potential moves an opponent will make, I don't see how limited space is less complex than the counter system (+ vs armored), vision? (fog of war), and unit 'abilities'. There is both micro and macro to consider, macro could be programmed easy, but the micro? I'm doubtful.

I do study computer science. Go of course is the most complex game in terms of "search space", since you can get diverse boards with little variation, which is not the case for SC2! The game doesn't change dramatically if your move left or right around an obstacle and you can't come up with Hydras as a Toss. SC2 is in fact way less complex than? Chess or Go. But remember: those "[something] can NEVER be done with a pc" have ALWAYS proven to be wrong a few years later...

People don't adapt well to new information very well at all. Si, claro que existen equipos como el Country o el Stade, donde para jugar debes ser socio y del? club, ademas de pagar por la mebresia de rugby, cosa que es bastante cara en ambos casos, y solo se aliviana si es que eres descendiente de Ingleses o Franceses... Pero existen clubes como U Catolica, U Santo Tomas incluso equipos de exalumnos como DOBS, donde lo unico que te piden, es pagar las cuotas a tiempo y las ganas de jugar. Hay clubes y clubes, solo hay que saber buscar.

y lo peor es que el rugby es solo un deporte mas, de hecho su origen es en las clases bajas del Reino Unido, osea fue creado por una elite pero se hizo bastante popular en las clases obreras de Inglaterra, Irlanda, EscociayGales, pero como acá llego a través de los colegios? británicos(en su gran mayoria colegios particulares de clase alta) siempre se le vinculo como un deporte reservado para ellos, cuando en realidad es un deporte hecho para todos, ahora vivo en Conce y eso no se nota

It's completely useless in My Player, my player has 99 on 3 point shooting, 99 on offensive clutch and 90 shooting in traffic and still only shoots about 30% from outside. Even worse in so called "clutch" situations. But Wade with his 85? offensive clutch will light up the scoreboard in the last 2 minutes. Fuck this stupid ass game.

Just wait til you play the bulls and have to guard Rose.. The games made me rage quit a few times on that? match up. Just ONE little screw up and you get punished hard, at least for my PG and the sixers

You should only play the key match ups and do shooting drills to farm skill points for the first couple of seasons. By your 3rd season you should have your low to mid range shot and a few other skills in the? mid 80s and be a decent scoring threat. It's also best to just make them pass the ball to you when plays brake down. Nice to see someone doing a series for this game.
