The shaft bend is an effect of the camera. Because the club head is accelerating faster than the shaft & grip, it appears to be further ahead than it really is. In that frame of maybe 1/120 of a second, the clubhead has moved an appreciable distance relative to the shaft, so the camera captures that end result. If you look at videos with higher? FPS, you will not see this effect because the camera is capturing a smaller slice of the action with each frame.

I was a volunteer at the Barclays 2009 hole #8 marshal. On the pro-am day, Ogilvy had a shot just couple of feet over my head and landed couple of yards beside me. His caddy was kidding to me, "He was aiming aim at you". All I am trying to say is that the pro's are humam too. Back to the video, I do notice the similar scene in TW, Bubber Watson, the shaft bending forward before impact.? Or de-accelerating before impact. The question is, is this a deficiency in their swing.

thats a good guess but the thing is, the camera that was used is quite deceptive because it lense of this particular one distorts it to make it seem more? than it is. For the most accurate type in swing vision next to the golfers name. (best camera)

On the side view, the shaft bending during the down shows that he accelerated at the top ( shaft bending backward). Then he de-accelerated after? a quater turn (shaft bending forwad). He Kept same speed and finished the swing. Anyone agree with me?

He hits a slight fade, but i'll tell you- i followed him for 18 holes at this year's Memorial in Columbus, Ohio, and every driver or three wood he hit off? the tee was absolutely dead straight, a mile high, and a mile long. It was incredible and it looked like he wasn't even trying.

There's nothing wrong with his swing. I suppose i have a "future" swing too then cuz I am very shut at the top because I don't rotate the club too much but I still only play like a 5? yard draw. Even tho I'm closed I can still hit any shot like a fade or slice because I manage to get the club square at impact

@charlrogers1990 and also I dont know but you seem to be a good golfer and a tip is to not go to big brands for clubs since the heads are massproduced and sometimes have little airbubbles in them just some tip? on some rly good brands are: irons, vega, miura (tiger played with miura during his titleist time logo was just put on them) and driver are hands down nakashima:) we tried all last years big brands driver heads in a machine and no one was close to spinn launchangle and distance as naka:)

@charlrogers1990 yeah I have been to one lab here in sweden but it wasnt just one brand it was TM nike an callaway and I was going to check a driver with all three of them and neither one of them was going to spine? my shaft if I was going to buy one some didnt even know what spining a shaft means

@charlrogers1990 straight up! but dont? go to nike taylor made or whatever go to a neutral club fitting pro. I went to a leasson in club fitting for a year with swedens best club fitters and I have met all the club fitting "bosses" in sweden from all the big brands and I´ll tell you they sure are muppets:P

Well I guess that means the golf instructors should not even be out there? One thing I don't like about alot of pros the way they swing is the foot action. However, alot of them can get away with it because they are so strong in other areas. The only critique I would give Paul Casey is that he lifts his right foot to soon. The right foot should stay anchored through impact!! I know the guy hits the ball pure and long,? but it is still a swing fault.

nothing wrong with his footwork he starts his downswing by lifting his right foot this is the start of weight transfer and creates lag which his were his awesome power comes from what does it matter anyway as long as the ball ends up were its meant to and it does! thats why hes top 10 in the world jeeeeeeeeees! ?

yeah, you talk like you've never critiqued someone superior to you. dumbass. yeah he's a pro, but there? is a problem in all of their swings. footwork is one of paul casey's. once again. he needs to keep his right foot down more at impact.

Hey Asian Golf guy, tjack2themax527 is correct. In the slow motion? sequence, Casey is on his toes during these swings. I imagine when Casey saw these swings, he corrected that problem.

Everyone loves to cite the exception. What people don't get is that most guys? make it tour not because of the technical aspect of their swings, but the great hand-eye coordination, balance and tempo, deft putting, and feel these guys have.
