I can tell you what is going on with this booming right now. I thought it strange when I saw what looked like a white pipe floating on the edge of a marsh and thought what the hell is that going to do?? Obviously "fucking proper fucking booming" is hard, and involves work. People would have to anchor every zig and zag, imstall catch basins etc etc. Flopping the boom out in a line and chucking out an anchor means the boomers dont even have to get out of the boat.

As a woman who lives in Ft. Walton Beach and is working with various people to stop this oil from reaching our dolphins in the bay I absolutly applaude this! This woman speaks my language and makes perfect sense. The only way to keep the oil out of our bays at this? point is to close the bays with dirt, sand, anything to save something. In the instance where the ball is hit into the ditch you state that? the player CANNOT hit from the far side of the hazard on a line that dissects the point of entry and the flag because he would be in the forest. Although I would agree he would be ill advised to do so he still has that option. Confusing for someone trying to learn the rule. Propose that it would have been clearer had you left out the forest and made it a field and thus been able to illustrate this fifth option. Great vid series

Let me start by saying that I do not claim any expertise on course set-up and recommend that you address your query to your national golfing body. In my opinion the options are to define? the area as a lateral water hazard (penalty drop), GUR (free relief), out of bounds (stroke and distance penalty) or play the ball as it lies with players taking the ball unplayable penalty option if necessary. Personally, I do not think that designation as a water hazard is appropriate. Barry

No, you should not have written, "tree hazard", as there is no such thing in golf. You should have written, "lateral water hazard with trees inside and outside the hazard". Providing your ball did not roll back either within the margin of the hazard or nearer to the hole when you dropped it, then you must play the ball as it lies or deem it unplayable under Rule 28 and drop it again. However, the penalty for doing so is? one stroke and not two each time you do so.

yes i know that ,i should have wrote tree hazard with red stakes. my point is i was playin a par 3 and? hit into the woods with red stakes but the stakes were 5 feet into the tree line and when i was dropping two club length it was rolling back into the tree line(to where i wouldnt have a shot or be able to make a proper swing) but when i was dropping it still wasnt rolling past the red stakes so i picked up and redropped twice and my buddy was charging me 2 strokes everytime.

The first point to note is that trees on a course are not hazards. that is a nice shot, but with 10 chances, I think that almost any single digit handicap could have made that shot. Shoot it with a? range finder, figure in wind and distance the target is below you, hit a pitching wedge the first shot to get an idea on how far the ball will really carry so you can compare to your calculation. A just your club selection by using all info you have now and you have 9 shots to hit it to 10ft. Shot looks hard, but is more show than it is difficult.

Hi! Peter here. Just signed on to comment on this and ruin any amazement. For a pro golfer to do this, they just have to get their average max speed and do a few simple calculations then set a target, orient them self appropriately to said target and? hit it hard. Also the shot against the wall was not that amazing. Had it went in, yes, amazing. As it is, it was a very good shot. Probably one of the better of that single tourney.

In all of his teaching he says that you cannot focus on the hands and arms without thinking about what the larger muscles of the body are doing.

Name any decent? ball striker who was a proponent of the Golfing Machine. I cannot think of any who played at a high level for along period of time, but I can name a bunch who played for years who used Ballard's teaching principles (Sutton, Strange and Colbert to name three). He knows his stuff.

Your elbows are at? the end of the bone that connects to your shoulder. There are no moving pieces in the elbow to allow for any pronation or supination, but there are in your shoulder joints (rotator cuffs). So the idea of keeping your elbow pointing at the ground is not necessarily bad advice, but it is not controlled by the elbow. It's 100% controlled by the shoulder. If you're going to try to do what he's suggesting, focus on what your shoulder joint is doing, not the elbow.

When braking I'm saying don't hold at all. Just live with the fact you're going to slide forward on the seat. There's only two ways to hold yourself in place: with the bars, in which case you are going to float the rear wheel sooner, or with your thighs on the tank, in which case you're going to be late setting your body position. So I feel it's best to not? fight it at all. This is just my opinion though.

So I loosened up my arms and held onto the tank, which helped, but when I tried to brake REALLY hard I found myself not setting up until I was already steering; so I watched some video of FIM SS and AMA SBK and MotoGP and such, and I realized, just... take it on the balls. Set up, brake hard, if you hump the tank, hump it, deal with it, push your butt back once the G-forces start to come off as I ease off into trail? braking mode, and suddenly those CRs were having to work a lot harder!

Don't hold onto the tank with your knees. I had problems with this, I was always wondering what magic bastard CRs at track days were using to pass me with late braking maneuvers everywhere when I was floating the rear wheel already and then riding right with them for corner speeds. Problem 1 was I was stiff arming the bars, transferring more of my weight to the front than? was necessary, hence lowering the amount of braking power I had before lifting the rear... (cont.)
