Folks :) YES, Windows has got to load tons of services, where the old Mac OS was? minimalistic (=good) The old Mac was programmed at the limits of the art of programming back in the days these Guys were able to do MAGIC with so little resources! Today Services n Programs are made with Authoring-Software, they are not programmed they are put together by DRAG N DROP... that is why today's software is more bloated with program-code, takes more? time to load, more space on the hdd. minimal vs bloated

I like this video... nothing against Mac or windows but this is exactly why I run Linux when possible. my netbook can match that macs boot time almost exactly :) computers would be so fast today? if the software wasn't keeping up with the hardware in terms of available/required speed.

In 1984 this Apple Macintosh computer had an 8 MHz, 32 Bit processor! In our days Intel have already found the 1000 core 64 Bit CPU technology! The Macintosh had 128 KB of RAM and in our days there are server computers which even have 128 GB of RAM! The old Apple computer used a 400 KB floppy! In our days almost everyone has more than a 400 GB Hard Disk Drive or? Solid State Drive which are much, much faster than a floppy! What are computers going to be in 2040?
