Just not true-I have the email from Shawn. I think Hall is correct, but Clement doesn't agree. He actually said "Martin hall didn't design the human body" haha. This is so wrong on a number of levels. Lay your left hand flat on a? table and see how much you can move it left and right. Hardly at all. This is called radial deviation and ulnar deviation. In the golf swing your wrists do not hinge on just one axis.

@daver19572000 @daver19572000 Its? actually not that great advice. Ive looked at this carefully. The left wrist cocks up for sure. But the rght wrist does not completely bend right-it has to upcock a little too. Otherwise it doesnt support the shaft. I have clarified this with my professional and he agrees wth me 100%. I guess its relative-relative to the left, yes its a bend. But to say it bends 100% right is just plane wrong. I have asked Shawn Clement personally and he agrees.

Hello Martin, I have this small problem when i am at the impact position, my club face is consistently open and when i look at my left hand the wrist is flat but all four knuckles are showing, (I have a neutral grip with two knuckle showing at address) My right wrist is bent as I'm getting good lag. But unfortunately? this four knuckle open club face is killing my game. Would you have any tips on how to get this left hand only showing the two knuckles as it is at address. thank you

Hi Martin, The tour striker is superb-the best aid Ive used. It genuinely improves all my faults lag, starting down with the lower body, over the top-etc. It took me a good 30 balls to work out how to even hit it, but I can now hit the 7i pro nicely in the air. Only one problem-Im getting many pushes and weak fades. Obviously Ive used? a flipping action to close the clubface. Ive always fought OTT too. Any tips how to help square the clubface without getting handsy and flipping. Cheers Matt

Thanks for? the question. I'm a fan of a forward-ish ball position. Balls played in the center of the stance can lead to a breakdown of the lever because most people don't aim far enough left of the target line to hit the ball down their target line. A club that hasn't reached its low point is usually moving right. To counter that, players will break down to hit the ball along their target line. Driver is off the left instep and smash it! Thanks for your reply Martin. I have the Tour Striker and I love working with it. Your video and comments demontrate how imporatant it is for us not to get in the way of our own natural swing. The body has a natural instinct to get out of the way of the swinging arms unless we screw it up. If we don't screw it up then the clubhead can follow it's natural? circular orbit, down, out and forward. It is a great sensation!

Hi Daver, the uncocking and rolling you are seeing is pretty involuntary. If you are relaxed and don't steer, the club will try and rotate about the shaft axis naturally. I tend to get "too tight" and hold this off and have to constantly remind myself. The TS (my training club) helps? me relax my hands so I can get the look you are talking about. The left hip getting behind the tush line is important in aiding the correct way to get the face square. Cheers and thanks for your note.

It can be a tough lesson. When you get to the top, feel as though you step onto your left? foot as your arms drop a little. That generally is enough to sync the arms and pivot and you can turn like mad from that point. In reality, you can hit the ball about 80 percent max distance on one foot, so timing the drop well provides the extra yardage the hands and arms don't give you. Good luck.

I clearly am not doing this. I stuck an old shaft through my belt loop and went to hit som balls in the net. It is completely different than? I have ever swung. Hurts your hands pretty bad when you swing wrong with a clubshaft through your belt loops. Very effective to say the least. I am having a hard time figuring how I can start the downswing with my lower body but still keep my arms infront of the pivot. Feels like I have to drop the hands then start the hips. Hard to do, and feels weak/sl

Martin, I love your videos. I notice that in the slowmo section at 3:04 with your left hand directly over your left thigh the back of the hand is facing us and the clubhead is directly in front of your right foot. In the next frame at 3:08 the left arm has not really changed it's position but the back of your left hand has rotated completely to face? the target and this has moved the clubhead approx. 3 feet or so. Is this rotation caused by the left hip finally moving behind the tush line?

You are likely running out of right arm.? If your right shoulder goes down too sharply you'll have too much axis tilt away from the target and you won't be able to deliver a bent right elbow and wrist to the ball. Your right elbow will straighten resulting in a flattening right wrist and this causes the toe to close rapidly = face hook.

Good question. 9 out of 10 tour players have the club and right forearm in line at impact. Very few return the shaft to the address? orientation; it is slightly steeper than address. Ams get the club too steep. A good feel is to try and get the heel into the ground before the toe.

MC - My striking has improved a ton after finding my way to your videos via the ts. I continue to fight a face hook - similar to your video to Mike with the green and white ball. I've been working on my path as suggested in that vid, however have you seen the same problem due to the lower body, i.e a right hip towards target line, makes you hit the outside of the ball @ impact? I'm really struggling to hit that dead straight shot, again? compression is great though. Thanks!

Hi MC, I've been golfing about a year and hit the ball sweet but not accurate. I tried this technique after watching your video and I cant tell you how amazed I am with the result, both with irons and the driver. The accuracy is fantastic and because the hands are forward which delofts the club i'm getting another 30yrds from each club with no effort in the swing. The hardest thing to do was to stop trying to crush? the ball. A slow relaxed swings worked better 4 me. Thankyou,thankyou, thankyou.

Sorry for? the delay. If that is the case, you are adding something to the backswing that is not helping you any...I see this all the time. Pay attention to how little you do with your backswing when doing this drill. I see a lot of "overswings" creating too much angle with the right elbow and cupping the left wrist. Cheers, MC

I'm sure some TBS Instructors are hard-dawgs, but what? about Officers that went USNA & then arrived at TBS, compared to those that went OCS then TBS? ROTC candidates still have to go through OCS in the summer between their junior and? senior years of college. The ROTC route is also far from "chill", you have to carry your regular courseload as well as your ROTC responsibilities. And the 6 week OCS program they got through is a "hit the ground running" deal since they are expected to be squared away with their ROTC knowledge. Naval ROTC (Marine option) is very much different then Army ROTC.

According to a Marine officer buddy? of mine it's a lot of learnign and all business at TBS not a long gut check and constant ass chewing unless you're a fuck up. that's what OCS is for. If you go the ROTC route, which is chill, well that's probably why most ROTC trained officers have crappy attitudes. Especially in my experience in the Army. Maybe it's different for Marines goign through ROTC but I don't think so.

All this disrespect and harsh comments towards the mk1 make me sick. I have a mk4 gti,? actually same color as the one in this video, and I love it. But the mk1 is VW's ROOTS. este video es falso por una sola y sencilla razon; el golf gtd tarda en hacer el 0-100 8,1 segun datos oficiales el golf gti tarda en hacer el 0-100 7,2 segun dato oficiales comprobad vosotros mismos. en el minuto 0,55 del video, toman la salida los 2. a los 10 segundos,metraje 1,05 segundos, cuando se hace el cambio de camara en el video, el gti ni asoma en la imagen, cuando deberia aparecer ya como minimo a los 7 segundos, ya que el gti a? los 7,2 segundos esta a 100 y el gtd no. 1 saludo

Sorry but? definitly not a Golf.....I've never liked it.... Of course GTI and GTD has always been nice cars (also in the past), but before buying a golf I prefere a Seat Leon...Now I own a Bmw 120d. Anyway I think that comparison is not possible because you've to consider how many km you normally drive. I think that if you do more or less 15.000 Km in 1 year you should choose the GTI (211 cv) or you could buy the new Golf R!!! Cheers!

I totally respect your idea, anyway take a look at the first 2 curves first left second right (expecially the 2nd...) where the GTD driver have to brake in order not to crash the GTI; then only from the 3rd curve they do not use brakes and the GTI start to? loose the GTD.
