I think the only word I actually use out of all those would be chin wag, we say it all the time in the north east of England. other slang words that kind of confuse people who I talk to over seas or even from down south would probably be "mint" as in? "that was mint" basically saying something is awesome, maybe "class" too, which basically means awesome too "it was propa class like hew"

I'm American and I've never heard of flossing used as a slang word. Shawty makes sense since it sounds like shorty, which originally meant small person like a child. As for ba-donka-donk, well, I'll give you that one. Much appreciated if you didn't generalize and make it seem as if Americans are responsible for destroying the English language.? Slang is just the informal use of words and are used in a social setting. It's not something people actually use in a thesis paper.

Yes, in a way the County is like the NHS, but you must be unemployed, earn under a certain? amount per year, or disabled. Unfortunately, the illegals are bleeding these hospitals dry. Your comment about foreigners not having to pay if they use the? NHS is not true. When I was in the UK and went to an ER where they failed to handle my medical problem I was sent a wopping bill from the hospital. They didn't allow me to use my NHS card because I don't reside in the UK even though I had paid into it. However, like in the UK and the US illegals do finanially drain the hospital piggy bank which is unfair to the natives!

Most county hospitals our funded by the property owners when they pay property taxes. The medical staff are professionals from around the world even the UK and are paid very well. He didn't pay a penny? Now that's rubbish...nothing about the NHS is free. And, have? yet to meet anyone from England with implants, caps or gold teeth. In fact, when I lived there I went to a dentist who wanted to pull one of my teeth because the tooth had a cavity. When I got back to the US my dentist told me the tooth was irritated and didn't need to be pulled at all! I get my imformation from actual experience in having to use the NHS myself! Some people think NHS is free? and it is not. Like I said in the US we have a County Hospital System so people don't need to go bankrupt as you put it! I volunteer at a major County Trauma Center and everyone is treated the same and the doctors save lives with or without insurance. We have people from around the world who line up to be treated because in their countries they are put on a waiting list or their treatment is sub standard.

You do realise that people become bankrupt from having to pay for medical treatment, plus there's plenty of examples of American insurance companies not paying out for treatment because people went to the 'wrong' hospital. My friend who had a massive heart atack was flown 80 miles by helicopter to the only hospital in Europe that could do the operation. Look at the St Nazaire Raid, bouncing bomb, invention of the tank, invention of radar, HMS Argus, Operation Mincemeat, Enigma Machine etc. Honestly, the British armed forces aren't what they were now - but you can at least the equivalent of another half which is provided by the ingenuity of British thinking during wartime.

I'm English so can answer you. Some you could use in both countries and people in both countries would know what you mean. There are some that? used only in England or only in America and would seem strange in the other country. Realtor for example would never be used in the UK. Neither would Diaper. Film or movie could be used in both countries and people would know what you mean. We both watch each others movies and therefore know the differences

it's pretty hard to explain, i've done it i'd say close to 50 times now..... but it expands every level of your senses. smell, taste, sight, hearing... it's all elevated to near super human levels. you will be able to solve equations you never though possible, or figure out what you are doing wrong in? life ect. and know the solution. it's just something you have to experience to understand, but trust me, it's life changing to say the least.

That scene isn't entirely accurate but that was only a skirmish and you only see part of it. In? that age, the tactics you would appreciate would not have won war. Troops in skirmish formation (the one you'd advocate), though able to take cover and use initiative, were vulnerable to cavalry and could not hold ground against advancing infantry columns. You do need? knowledge about the subject. For example without the knowledge you wouldn't know about how many rounds the British cold fire per minute (3) with 2 lines of men. Nations such as France and Prussia couldn't match 3 rounds per minute. A British formation could march forward to a enemy formation and start firing at 3 rounds a minute while the enemy struggled to reach 2 rounds which means that the British line is putting out nearly twice as much as their foe which means the enemywilroute

How can you possibly think that? You clearly know nothing about how the line formation works, it's about about many rounds you can get out a minute and the British Army at the time? could fire 3-4 rounds a minute which is just insane, the whole idea is about discipline and firing. The term "hold the line"? comes from line infantry well "holding the line formation".
