Eh? AOL still owns? the right to Winamp, and I have installed several versions back when they were the latest. When I did and heard the introduction, the MP3 was still intact. Completely uncensored.

I cried a bit.. But winamp just doesn't function as well as FooBar2000.. Especially when you are using FLAC audio. There is a noticeable sound quality difference. RIP Winamp.. You really whipped the LLama's ass. You? should have mentioned the period when AOL owned them and made them remover the ASS from the intro MP3.. Pissed me off.

My XP machine still has winamp 2.23 as the default music player. I just got 5.XX? for Windows 7 and I just about close every box except the main window and playlist editor.

It's the first time I install Winamp since version 5.1x and it crashed upon start. Probably because my winamp.ini was never edited or removed because I've been using it since early 2.7 series (2.78 was my favorite version). Never uninstalled, never removed, kept it safe in a second partition so all my skins, plugins and etc are still there since? the first version I ever installed. Even though I use MPC:HC most of the time I'll never move my music folder from my "D:\Program\Winamp\Music\" NEVER!

WinAMP, WinAMP! It really whips? the Llama's ass

I never see ANY ads in my Winamp and I don't have the Pro version. Maybe it's because I? have all music in a playlist and it just fills most of the player in that window? Anyways, it works the best for me, has for years and I personally won't change unless they stop releasing updates.

Winamp? Classic UI (L)
By: TheRasteri. on 27 Oct 11, 18:41:55
I'd certainly be open to the idea of doing things? with other OSs. I don't know much about Mac OS so I'm probably the wrong person for that, but Linux is something I'm very familiar with. I did consider installing a bunch of older Linux versions but I didn't think it'd be very interesting.

@TheRasteri Are you only going to do these type? of videos only for Windows-related things, or also other (sub-)OSs? I find your videos very entertaining and informative, and wouldn't mind seeing more stuff if doing only Windows-related stuff is holding you back a bit.
By: doctaweeks. on 27 Oct 11, 16:13:17
I've used every version of Winamp on and off since version 2.0 and I'll say you hit the nail on the head for pretty much? every user response to each version and the changes they carried.
