There are a couple of things that could be causing a high ball flight. The most influentual is listed first. 1) Check impact (using impact tape). Hitting high on the face will pop it up. Tee the ball lower. 2) Driver loft. What loft are you using? Some drivers can be as much as 2 degrees off what the club is labeled. 3) 55 gram shafts usually? torques 3.5-4.5 which will raise the launch and spin 4) Shaft flex may not fit your swing 5) Back handed swing may be the cause, only a pro can help there

AMP clubhead is one of the best designs so paring is with a shaft that fits your game would be great. the stock shaft is 55g, I would look for something closer to 65-69g. If you have a higher swing speed you may go with a 75g shaft. I don't know your ball flight. I use a low launch, low spin shaft to get my optimal numbers. You may need something with a higher launch. Try to get fitted. Some drivers have many shaft options you can demo? with their club. Find one that fits you.

Some people like the Aldila NV 55 or 65 that produce good results with your swing speed. I recommend getting an opinion from the place that will? install the shaft. GD Aura Blue shaft will really launch the ball high.

In talking with a tour spx dealer it is evident you tried the wrong elements and? probably the wrong weight. Also, 3.4 IMO is not a long way from 2.9...doubt that had much to do with your dispersion. Too low launch really for all of them IMO. I currently play the t2 attas and looking for elements to get the launch up a bit. Nice job, need to stop that back swing a big sooner and not so much across the line. Have fun!

It is interesting that we get different information from different "professionals". I think you could see a little more distance at 7.75 (if that's what you're looking for). I haven't hit on the LM in a few weeks but when I was on it, I was averaging about 3100, which isn't bad for that? angle. I just brought the loft on the D3 down to 7.75*, hopefully that helps.

I agree, 5 degrees is way too low. I've been told to to find something in the 9-12 range with 2600-2800 spin. The fitter said anything? over 12 degrees is too high for my swing. What are your spin number at 14 degrees?

I've never heard of this shaft before lol. Just goes to show how much i read about golf? stuff. I'm looking at the Fujiukura Motore Speeder VC 7.2 for this season as my whiteboard is showing lots of wear and fatigue. I can hear a slight cracking noise when i apply a few lbs of pressure.

The placement of the center of gravity gets the ball in the air. The larger face helps forgiveness. In general if the club doesn't have weighting dispersion placed lower on the club head the COG would be lower with a shallow face. I don't know. One of the great mysteries of the earth is how any non pro golfer can find a club that fits their game. Who do you get to pick your clubs out? Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickelson? if you swing speed is 105 with a 3 wood you are no where near 120... btw i never claimed i hit it at any distance? just that you dont hit it that far with a speed of 105 at best your driver swing speed, with standard size shaft is around 108-110 ball park... a 105 to 120 gap is borderline stupid with a less than 3 inch difference in shaft length.. also i have a 112 driver swing speed...

stop paying attention to total distance on a launch monitor tracking old range balls. the swing speed is there and I guarantee you throw a new ball down it goes 270. put up a video of your swing? speed and if it hits 120 than you're in the same ballpark.

I hope we are able to continue to demo clubs at local stores. I also hope golf discontinues its trend. Less golfers are playing every year. This makes it hard on pro shops that rely on both club sales and round sales to survive. It seems like equipment prices have? jumped significantly in the last 3 years as well. I think we're on the same team here where we would like to see the game grow, not decline. Hope your store can rebuild its strength through good business practice

Dude, I totally understand you're point, I wanna save as much dough as I can when I buy stuff, and I'm sure there's some good sellers on ebay! My sole point is that if we continue to spend our money online, the stores we now go to to see all the stuff we like and wanna try aren't going to stay open. I don't know about the rest of the golfing world, but I like being able to go to a shop, pick up a club, ask a question, and go out and hit it, not look at pics and hope what I order is? real.

The majority of ebay may or may not be legit. One only needs to go to any of the OEMs websites or do any research to see how prevalent counterfeits are. Less than 1% is probably not accurate. If you weed out "ridiculous deals", that leaves you with pricing that is comparable to every other store. A legit set of Mizuno's is gonna be the same wherever you go. My sympathy? isn't misguided. Makes more sense to touch/feel/swing what I want, which won't happen if my local store closes...

The majority of ebay is legit golf stores and golfers like you and I. Some fakes are out there but it is not overwhelming, less than 1%. Just stay away from the ridiculous deal. Your simpathy for the little guy is misguided. This is business, the market? will follow the demand. If golfers want loft and lie checks it will be offered, if they can find a better deal some businesses will have to compete or fail. The bottom line is this: if we golfers as a group, continue to take our business to cyber-sellers(I've done it. The place I go doesn't have any cool shoes or clothes, so I get them where I can), there won't be any small shops to check loft & lie, then where are we? gonna go? The prices at almost all legit resellers are gonna be about the same(Thanks to OEMs M.A.P), so before we take our money online, maybe we should ask our local shop if there's any price matching or deals available?

Fair enough about the lefty issue, I get that. I wasn't calling you dishonest, just referring to the idea of going to a local shop, letting them find you gear and fit you for it, then buying it online. Unless you tell them upfront that's what you're doing, it's still not right. With the overwhelming amount of fakes on ebay, not? sure why folks still buy golf stuff there. I'd guess If a golf shop sells stuff online, the price would be same online or in the store.

As a lefty most local pro shops don't offer a good selection. They can't make money doing that. I have to go to the largest chain to? find a demo and even the large stores don't offer all the options. I buy online because that's the only place that has everything. Local shops could sell online as well (a lot of successful ones do). These small shops are great for checking loft and lie, but I'm not dishonest for finding a better deal. Welcome to a competitive market place.

Once again, really good video. I do have an issue. One thing that I've learned is that advising folks to buy online? makes it difficult for everyone's favorite golf shops to survive. Going to a pro shop to use their services to find what you want and get fit then buying your equipment online is not only unfair, it's dishonest. If you need service on clubs you buy online, where are you gonna take them? Give your local shop a chance to earn your business. You may find you get a better deal...

the reason I made 2 parts was to show the? method of choosing the correct golf shaft. 1st get the numbers of your current shaft and figure out if you want to hit the ball lower, higher, or which spin. then find a shaft in that region. I recommend taking which club is giving you trouble to a fitting cart and compare numbers with different shafts. good luck

rombax is definately in the bag. as far as handicap? I expect to lose a couple strokes early this year for 2 reasons. first, it's been 6 weeks since I've played, and second I am still fine tuning adjustments with my newer clubs. with the 910 I can actually hit a fade instead of missing to the right. I would guess the handicap jumps to 4-7, but then comes back to 2 by the end of the 2012 season. really need to fix the head movement, since this is a newer issue

tough to determine the? dispersion with such a small sample (only 14 swings), after a couple days off the mat I notice pretty consistent ball speed off the 910 club face (a lot better than the a12, definately a more forgiving club). it will definately come into play more on the course and finding the yardage for the club. may need to get back to you with those results. planning on gaming the rombax this season

I've seen Proforce in 3 woods and drivers, not hybrids. I've demoed th 86 driver version which seemed like a stout shaft. If you go? Proforce with the hybrid maybe shy away from the 104 gram (too strong). There are 2 ways to go with hybrids (wood replacement or iron replacement). For iron replacement look for a weight equal to or slightly less than your iron shaft. For wood replacement look for a weight between your next fairway wood and iron shaft. Proforce = wood replacement because of low spin

good point. This club is a wood replacement and the heavier graphite shaft should mix well between the iron and driver weights. One thing most people need to consentrate on when replacing a 3 thru 5 iron with hybrids is the lie and length of the shaft and I agree the best result would be to match up the? shaft type and swing weight with their higher lofted irons.

i don't play hybrids any more but when i did i found that the graphite shafts just weren't for me. part of this is because i like to think of hybrids more as iron replacements rather than woods replacements. i also liked how the steel shafts made them feel more like my? irons and it helped close the distance gaps between the irons and the hybrids. but any ways great video and excellent comparisons between the shafts.

I bought my 910H with a stock 'ahina stiff and I took it to the golf dome once and it? was balloning like no other. Much to high launching for me, even though it supposed to be lower than my GD AD DI but it was MUCH higher with much more spin. Anyways good choice, lots of tour pros use rombax shafts in general.

I was a long drive competitor and that's how I was able to extend my backswing? and generate more power. now I am trying for more consistency, so I am reducing that heel raise (especially with my irons), what I am noticing from video is my front foot turns open during this and I have a more powerful leg drive with the ability to clear my hips easier. also, I've learned over the years to time this move.

How are thing going overall with your pull? You swing very hard which is fine but very possible that you are casting with your left hand on the way down. Meaning you are trying to generate more power by pulling with both hands but what ends up? happening is you throw the club head out behind you rather than holding the lag until the club is ready for impact... Try pulling mainly with you right hand... this will keep you on plane and give you more distance with the lag your create. Let me know!

the a12 definately was great, especially when i flushed it. the problem I had was battling a miss to the right (draw or pull) that I wasn't trying to play. the? 910's adjustbility has opened up a new range of shots I am finding on the range because I can play the ball to go either direction without compensating for the setup.

I bought it with the Matrix. I used it at the range last night, I was hitting it really well. It gave me a great ball flight and good distance(about 210-215). I really enjoy this club. I got it at a Golf Expo brand new for 120. I got to hit the 910h while I was there. It ? is also a great club but I am very happy with my Pro A12.

Thanks for the tip, I do notice my front foot turning forward when I begin the downswing, this frees up my hip turn without stressing my knee. After looking closer I see from the front view a lot more head movement than at the end of last? season. When I keep my front foot down it corrects a lot of these issues. Right now I am focusing on video to help me feel and see what is right. The swing comes from years of long drive competition where it was how fast, not how consistent.

I am a lefty also. Try to keep your front? foot planted on the ground. That will help with your pull issue. Also try and use alignment sticks to make sure your feet don't move.

I agree (should've tested size for each brand in the store before making the purchase if possible, but some of these models are not regularly offered in the right hand option at the store). These are all large size and I am a medium to medium-large for most brands. For the FJ All Weather I would wear a large and it would shrink after a while. Definately? have bought some better fitting gloves since. Thanks for the comment

I have a stasof glove that I've played 8-10 rounds with and using on the range and it's still not soft anymore but still usable on the range, I got a players glove once and it got? all stretched out and stuff and th leather got all stretched out and not soft anymore after like 3 rounds...

Good point. Different brands large or medium is a different size as well. I believe in a fairly tight fit at the store with the glove not to buckle all the way. My hand will tend to swell after range work and the gloves all tended to be tighter at that? point. In the video the gloves all had a chance to stretch out at the range and seemed loose. Snug all around while playing is what I look for.

I think the HIRZL glove is the best glove I have ever worn. I have tried most of the gloves on your test list except for the MG glove and HIRZL outlasted and had way more grip than any other glove I have worn. Sizing tends to be on the larger side, so I went one size smaller and? found that really made a difference. In the rain, this glove is truly amazing. I will never need a rain glove again.

there are a lot of uniflex options out there, that's a tough call. like I said, he is probably in the stiff? flex catagory already and moving up. he could play uniflex, but he will grow into his clubs better with stiff. It was a great experience, took 3 days putting in on the list before my name was called. Wind was up when I played and it was mid 40's outside. I will never forget it. I demoed many sets before purchasing the MP59. They beat out other irons because of their feel. After having them for almost 5 months I've really come to appreciate one thing about this set. That? is the consistency of the club face. I can flight the ball and dial in yardages better than I ever have. Highly recommended. Good luck with your purchase and the 2012 season.

Recently custom fitted for mp59's with project x 6 shaft. Tried the taylormade mc's and titleist ap2 but the cleaner look thin top line & the feel was? fantastic. I am a 13 handicap with a swing speed of 96mph(irons) & these have helped in terms of consistent yardage with excellent feel compared with the game improvement irons. I recommend the custom fitting and dont be put off by who they are aimed? at, they do have some forgiveness although you have to hit them not scoop or flip. Great Video

My swing speed? is 115 mph with the Driver. I used DG S300 before. I notice less spin and lower ball flight with the KBS. KBS is 125 gram vs the 135 with the DG. The KBS feel is much smoother. I hear PX shafts tend to have a definative kick into the ball but overall better flight than DG.

I love the mizunos. Very reliable distance control and feel. Go with whatever you think is best for your game. Coming from the burner 2.0 I would go with the AP2 only set. You're not going to get much more playability with CB short irons and the swing weighting will be more consistent without a combo set. If you go with Mizuno you'll probably? be hooked for life.

I always compare my clubs to any club I demo because you can only trust comparitive number. I find the? practice bays to have more realistic numbers than the manufacturer demo areas. I think the wind and high altitiude settings are turned on in those areas.

Definitely check out the Callaway's, fantastic feel. It seems as though you are? a pretty good ball striker so I'd hit the Razr muscle backs, purest iron I've ever hit. It looks like a blade at address almost because the top line is so thin. I play the callaway forged X irons which have a similar soft carbon steel face... butter. btw PGA superstore monitors are sketch; I hit a 6 iron 180 there when i should be hitting it about 165 lol. anyways, love your vids, keep it up.

Callaway never made it to the demo stage because I didn't like the looks from address (offset issue). Taylor Made irons didn't make it because of the inconsistent ball speed I experienced with my old irons. It might? be interesting to compare the feel between Callaway and Mizuno.

Sounds like the ping is more of a feel problem than a forgiveness. The MP59 will have less forgiveness than the MP52 and a lower flight. If your looking for more forgiveness than the MP52 but want the feel I recommend the MP53, or JPX Pro 800. Other brands to check out would be Titleist AP2, Nike Pro Combo, Adams CB2. Mizuno has the best feel in my opinion. I'd take the i20's back. Nothing more? disappointing than bad feel on a new set. Good luck.

Well, I'm a 8 HC. Had played with the MP 52's Dual pocket club which I liked. After 3 years, I traded them in for the new Ping i20's. I'm disappointed in my choice. Didnt notice much diff in forgiveness. could not get head through fast enough. I hit them for an hour but noticed a big difference. The ping felt like I was hitting terra cotta... I guess I just am so use to the forged feel. My? question, do you have an opinion on the MP 59 forgiveness verses the MP 52 and the Ping i20?

The cost will vary greatly depending on the work you choose to get done. You can go to the scotty cameron website, put in your information, and check the price for that work. The website says to allow 50 days for full restoration, and 20 days for custom work. I've heard people getting their putters back in less than 2 weeks. I recommend going? to the website and checking out the options.

Putter comparisons are not a good idea because everybody has an opinion. I prefer the scotty because of the feel of the 303 steel face. I personally don't like putters with inserts.? Scotty is my choice, but I recommend testing them yourself to find what you like. Thanks for the comment.

I've heard great reviews on the mp63. Definately a smaller club face, I'd recommend it? for a player that consistently breaks 80. Should post a video on your new irons whatever you pick, and putter as well.

I saw the same improvement over the DG S300. I play the MP59's now and definately recommend them. I had to buy the KBS Tour C-Taper shafts separately because mizuno has no information on whether they will be? available on any future clubs. Thanks for the comment.

I currently play KBS Tours in MX200 Mizuno irons. Coming from the stock Dynalite XP R300, this shaft kicks ass. I then purchased 2 Mizuno MP67 irons. Both with DG S300. I pulled one shaft and fitted the KBS and I gained 10m on the carry over the S300. The flight was much? better, the spin rates were better, the feel was better. Im considering going to some MP59's at some point next year and with all the good reports of the C-Taper, I really hope Mizuno offer it in the swing DNA system soon.

The flight is penetrating and the spin allows my 5 iron a little more forward roll. The 8 iron is my stop club on the green rather than my 6 iron. The wind plays a much smaller role in my round. The thing that I love the most about the club and iron combo is I can dial in? a number, put the swing on it, and the ball does what I programmed. Definately has helped my GIR numbers and putting. Highly recommended.

Honestly they aren't THAT low for me they are very similar to the Project x's just a bit lower. However I did find they go further, for me only about 3-4 yards, I hit 6 iron 190? now before was about 186. But keep in mind I went from 6.3 FCM to 7.3 FCM which is a big jump. Usually you loose distance going to a shaft a lot stiff but I didn't since they don't spin as much. My pitching wedges are releasing about 6 feet and before was a foot. Overall great shafts.

Stiff+ is great for me. No need to drag it up or down with the glue and switching the iron shaft (5 for a 6? and so forth). Are you doing anything special? Looks like you are setting it yourself to keep the swing weight right.
