You're correct, for garage starting the prop shaft is disconnected. It's not a stock engine either, it's around 11:1 compression if I? remember correctly. For it's day it outran all others by far!

Sounds pretty snappy for a six cyl. I assume thats because there is no prop shaft hooked up? or maybe a lightened flywheel??
