That was the final game of the 2009 World Series. Those tickets were just under 300 a pop. Sorry, I didn't have a few grand to throw down to? get up closer...but at least I was there. If I remember correctly, the Red Sox have the 4th highest payroll. If paying money equals success, then they should have made it to the ALCS because you? figure 4 teams=4 highest payrolls right? Also, you would think the Baltimore Orioles would have won the World Series in 1998 and not the Yankees since they had a higher payroll. Isn't that correct? Also, the Mets with their second highest payroll should have at least made the playoffs, right? Guess that arguement doesn't work.
