Way to go JOE!!! It is good to see a fitness professional exhibit talent in a sport that is mainly dominated by other sports participants like hockey, baseball, track and field, etc. that have somehow contributed to the speed needed to make balls go 225mph and 400+yards. There are a couple other personal fitness trainers out there doing this and have made the RWLD finals too. Hey Joe, how about a training program? you do for this type of thing. As a trainer I'm interested and an LDer too.

Could not agree with you more on being ball-bound. Some players are helped? just by eliminating the idea of "impact" altogether--looking at it as a convenient fiction, thinking of it as a matter of the ball accidentally getting in the way of a swinging motion the way a footstool accidentally gets in the way of your swinging leg when you're walking through an unfamiliar room in the dark (and you know how hard that impact is).

That happens when your ball bound rather than target bound. When I was a beginner I made the mistake of coming over the top all the time. My backswing was ok, but my frontswing was? lousy. Basically the whole body acts as a tensioned spring meaning forget arms and hands, and focus on rythm. Ideally all the energy comes from the ground up and the hips serve as a tension point.

There really isn't.? You have two choices from there: release fully and hit a screaming pull-hook, or hang on and try to block the ball toward the target from a too-steep-and-outside path. Once you get into the habit of doing that, you have the classic case of two problems feeding and enabling each other, and a golfer who can't figure out why he hits the ball sort of at the target, some of the time, but has no power or "snap" to the shot--always kind of a dead ball.

Look at how the club approaches from the inside right up until the sweet spot is on the ball (check the last 4-5 feet before impact in particular), freeing up his ability to release the toe over the heel with hands and forearms. I agree.? He needs more weight on his inside left foot and keep it more planted through the finish. Rolling the left foot makes it harder to control the ball. He kind of has a Bubba Watson thing going on right now with his left side which will cause a little inconsistancy. Yeah, but if your gonna be hitting it 400 yards all the time we'd all be scratch, the kind of courses he'll play will be professional courses made with distance in mind, and he'll still be taking the piss out of them, driving par 4's in one no bother, even if his accuracys not at its best, he's leaving himself 3 shots from under 100 yards for par, if he had a good swing with the irons he'd be a professional, but he's? not.

all club heads? are USGA conforming, there isn't a real equipment advantage, and shafts will snap long before the heads go out, it's wiser to buy more shaft/head combos then just using one head forever and having to replace the shaft anyways

when you have a more reinforced face, the ball doesn't rebound off as much because of less trampoline effect, im talking about a very small fraction of a difference, some of the guys that are backed by good sponsors are able to have like 20 clubs? built that are lighter and have a less thick face, but they will break very easily. For the other 99% of the guys in this sport including me, use a head that is quite a bit thicker than lets say your callaways and taylormades etc.

Long drivers do not use longer clubs, we are allowed up to the 48 USGA limits that any pro or amateur can use legally, and as for the club heads go,? they are actually less hot then compared to regular drivers since they are strongly reinforced so they do not collapse nearly as fast as an ordinary club would in the hands of me or anyone of these guys. What your seeing there is true power
