Well sir you need to look up your definition of consistency. He hasn't posted a top 25 in the past 2 months. Now I'm not saying he needs to be first page of the leaderboard every week, but missing the? cut 3 out of 5 times doesn't really scream consistency to me. Will he win again? yes, he will find a hot putter in the occasional weeks, but will he achieve consistency or anything close to it? the plain answer to that is NO.

Tiger knows a lot more (about swing theories and what others say about his? swing) than you guys think. He is probably reading these comments too. He is not in the dark so to speak. And he does hit 10000s of balls to see what works best for him. So he can WIN. Which is what he really cares about...not how pretty his swing looks or whether it's the model swing for whichever coach he is under at the time. Tiger dug it out the dirt. @ 1tontomato. You make some good points. The reason Tiger has to sling it through impact is because his upper body is slow to rotate at the start of the downswing. As you said the great ball strikers hit it with their body and core rotation. Most of the stuff he is working on at the moment with? Foley won't help him until he improves his downswing.

Another thing. Look at Brian Gay. The guy hits it like? 270 and crooked, yet he gets top tens and even has a few wins. Now look at Boo Weekley. The best pure ball striker in the game today. In my opinion. Boo hits almost every shot solid and right on line. He also has a decent short game. However Boo can't make a putt outside of three feet so his career will be lack luster. But fans of the game appreciate how well Boo hits it more than how well Brian Gay putts it. IMHO

Stats are a bit misleading with TW. The stinger 3W he hits is one of the most awesome shots any golfer has ever played. His short game is phenominal, as is his iron play. His driver can hold him back though. When he drives it good, or even adequetely he performs very well as i'm sure you know. ?

I agree, the tour is full of players that make everything and get up & down from everywhere, that's why they are on the? tour, and yes I have to agree that if he couldn't putt or scramble, he would probably be on the hooters tour, but so would anyone no matter how good your ball striking is. So if you have to have such good ball striking to be an all time great I feel like tiger shouldn't be that good since he only hit about 60 % of the fairways last few years!

Well depends how you word it. Hipe facing right of target also makes sense. If you were to word it "left hip for right handers" you would be correct. I think though we are sort of in agreement, I don't think the hips? should be parallel to the target line at impact and in this video they almost are.
