Everyone may complain about how Incubus isn't as heavy, but Dirk is gone. Ben brings out a? different side of them. It's more nostalgic...he's not a rock bassist. Jazz? Sure. I wouldn't say Brandon has a high ego, he's clever, artistic and pretty damn good looking, if he was any other fame-seeking 'popstar' he'd be having interviews just talking about? all the women he gets. But he doesn't because he genuinely gives a shit about the music. And I think you're missing the point of this album, not it isn't rock but like 'Warning' the songs still have meanings and are metaphors. For example 'If not now, when?'. If you really liked Incubus you would see them without flaw.

The band has tried to make every album different so that they aren't boring as well as to test what's out there and if you don't like the type of music they're exploring right now then that's your problem. Personally I prefer their heavy stuff too but simultaneously I appreciate their new music, in fact I love it to be perfectly honest. I don't really understand this song but 'If not? now, when?' (for example) is a meaningful song and if you don't get it then you don't get Incubus.

Incubus could do anything good or bad (remake) and it would still sound amazing because they make music. They don't make compromise which is what half these artist do.? They're the definition of musicians and anyone out there, that does not see the new album for the work of art that it is, is simply narrow-minded and do not know that there is such thing as evolution in music. They listen for the sound and beat rather than rhythm and meaning.

I'm not sure if this album gets alot of air time because i never listen to the radio any more; but I do think It's their best volume ever.
