I'm glad you mentioned the nike drivers for some reason i completely forgot about them. I think it will be interesting to see how our results compare, especially with the righty lefty aspect. I know that modern clubs are? much better now for lefties than in the past but i am interested to see if there are many differences in results between the two.

Arnold Palmer for me with an occasional brat or beakfast burrito at the turn. Water is key as well. I try to stay away from energy and caffeine on the course as far as drinks go. I might throw in some sort of granola bar. I am about to release a video showing the rest of the 2012 driver options. It will be interesting to get your perspective on? these clubs. I mainly drink water, and the reason for this is to just stay hydrated without any sugars. Your body needs nutrition when you play because you do use energy (of course), but hydration is important. Water is great. I am sure some sports drinks are really good too? such as Gatorade. I eat a few Natural Valley Honey and Oats nutrition granola bars per round for some nutritional calories also

The HEX Black IS a champ... I used one for a good 9 holes and even dinged it off the side of a mountain and if anything it has a minor scuff (you really have to look close) and? a slight discoloration on the ball's font, but it's still in great condition. Best golf ball I've ever played...

@guitarteacher1993, ya I'm only a digger on the range but I dont take big divots on the course but I strike it a lot better on the range the how I strike it on the range? and by ball striking and g.I.r have been terrible lately like I played on a shorter course yesterday and hit 5 greens, some of the problems were I was hittingbitbto good and it goes over the green and around my age your yardages change because I'm getting stronger

I've had issues with? them getting torn up pretty badly just from wedge play and from short and mid irons for me. usually i can make a prov1 last 3-4 holes before i have to change it. not a whole lot of cart path to hit at my home course and trees really don't come into play much for me except for that occasional drive that gets pushed out right a little bit.

now that almost al the major manufactures have a yellow ball out now and considering it's popularity with the younger generation we will begin to see more and more yellow balls on tour in the next 3-5 years or so. it's just so easy to? get used to and it is so much easier to see ball flight and to make adjustments in a round with because of that. i really can't see my self turning back either.

I? tried playing a round with a white ball a couple weeks ago. Didn't feel right at all. I've played the z-star tour yellow for over 2 years now and I am so used to seeing the flight and looking over the ball I can't see switching back to white.

already played several rounds with the hex black and have played countless rounds with the z-star and i would say that they really do play almost identically however the z-star has the edge in my book because i have much more trust in it and have become much more comfortable playing a yellow ball over a white ball. results on the course are pretty similar for my? game but the z-star does give me a little bit more confidence because of how much i have used it.

I don't agree this is a short term fix. I think what is misleading is how hard it is to get 1 mph faster hip speed. This doesn't replace hard work and Somax isn't claiming that. You can have great mechanics and a slow swing speed. I see you have a driver ss of 108 - not sure how you? measured that so I'll take you at your word. Take another guy with a ss of 95 mph. With the same mechanics, etc. you're 50 yards past him off the tee. That player is who would benefit from this.

What you just said was exactly my point. The only people who would ever even think of buying this would most likely have poor swing mechanics and hence not get the desired claims. Any one who has proper mechanics would know better than to believe that there was some machine that could replace hard work that actually makes a player better. When someone uses a tool like this it is only a short term fix and it doesn't actually help to ingrain any real? performance increases into your game.

You are missing the point of the video. There is a lot more than just the speed of the hips that determine swing speed. What Somax is saying is that? is one area that if you increase your speed in by 1 mph, you'll get 25 mph of swing speed with a 45" driver. Their 25 mph isn't exactly correct; you still need the proper mechanics to get all that speed increase. Show me a person with poor separation and/or swings their arms independent of their body and he may only get 5-8 mph increase.

I agree quality practice is the only way to learn your proper body & swing coordination to improve both distance and accuracy. There is no easy solution. I guess the only thing I would add is to also workout and increase flexibility through a quality golf program. I've see the Somax? site and it would be hilarious to see somebody do an in the bag with that machine in the background.

the spine alignment was a big part in deciding to put the letters up. that and i just think it looks better with the letters facing up. one of the best things about Aldila in my opinion is that they? always locate the spine in their shafts and mark it with a notch at the butt end of the shaft for their customers. i went ahead and made the mark again when i cut it just in case i decided to cut it down anymore or put it into another club.

Shaft actually looks good. Nice. I'm glad you put the letters up because most shafts are spined so that the label is up when the shaft is? aligned correctly. Check out spine alignment and FLO videos for an explaination. In the end your performance will be better.

nice i remembered that you had ping i series irons but i couldn't remember which ones. oh and also the spin on the eye twos is amazing with the square grooves. and the best part is the new groove rule doesn't apply to them and they were grandfathered in. i actually have the eye two remake lob wedge and sand wedge that? i got as a gift but i haven't ever used them, they are more of a collectors piece to me.

i'm with you on the whole # thing. does't make a difference to me what # is on the ball unless it's a titleist then i only play 7s but thats just one of those little things. i never play titleist any way so it never really actually matters. bit thanks for the support and for watching all? my videos

to be honest? unless you are on the tour or are at least at a division 1 college level it is almost impossible to tell most premium balls apart if they were all unlabeled. the spin is the only thing that you can actually see the difference in between balls the rest of the differences are all feel based. but any way i think you're making a great decision to play z-stars this upcoming season. hope they work as well for you as they do for me.

i got the putting stroke figured out the day after i filmed this and i haven't had any issues come up since. i started practicing with an extension on my putter to make it a belly putter just to help promote constancy. i'm going to put a video up tomorrow about it and show the drill if you want to? check it out.

I blamed the scotty, bought a mallet, shot 75. Its never the brand but the type of putter that matters maybe you need mallet too? check your swing path if you like straight back and thru then go mallet and scotty cameron has great mallets if your a die hard scotty fan.

i feel you man mental is't the worst part of my game, it's actually pretty good usually. but on those rare occasions where i get in mental slumps my game suffers terribly. but i did work on the practice greens for about 2? hours total today, not all at once but in 30 min blocks and i think i finally got my putting stroke back and i'm feeling pretty confident about my putting game. gunna put it to the test tomorrow.

@guitarteacher1993, ya today I played 18 shot even on the front and I made every put I had under 10 feet and I had about 6 of them the the back I made a few good par putts put it's a lot longer than the front 9 so alot of times I had 4 woods or 3 hybrids into the green but then I couldnt make anymore lutes and shot 44, I have a problem with playing in a good attitude for the front nine then I have one bad hole and I end up shooting 78 or 79 instead of 74 or 75. Mental is the worst part of my? ga

Yeah man no problem. i really like your videos keep it up. and yeah i know exactly what you mean with the in your head part. i was putting great the last month and a half, until about a week ago? and it's just gone down hill worse and worse every round. i just need to get out on the practice greens and build that confidence back up. but on the bright side scramble season is just around the corner at my home course and i wouldn't mind dropping down a few strokes on the handicap to..,

I know how u feel, I have putted terribly the past 3 rounds don't blame the putter unless u just have no more confidence with it but 99% of it is in your head! Thanks for the shout out!? Really appreciate it! :)
