I was 19 when I started watching AMC.Far from home with no friends and only 2 tv channels. AMC has always been part of my life. My mother NEVER watched a soap until I got her hooked on AMC.I will (do) miss all of you.Choke on the garbage you are replacing it with ABC.You took something that was a constant in a lot of peoples lifes! Low ratings MY? ASS! We recorded it to not miss a bit. My love and gratitude to all of the cast, crew and you dear Agnes. You will stay in our hearts forever!

Wow, that shows a strong connection with her character. I remember when she came to the show. I've heard about some of the storylines during that period of time. Some I missed b/c I wasn't watching, while others I saw up close, like the death of? Babe. That head writer they had for a while, Chuck Pratt, took things further downhill. Makes you think he wanted to sabatoge the show on purpose. Or else he was just that much of an idiot.

I came back in May because that's when Cady/Dixie came back. When she left originally in '96 I realized afterward that she was the only reason I watched so ever since I came and left when she did the same. If only they hadn't destroyed the characters over the? last 10 years many of the viewers might not have been pushed away. Too sad.

I can relate. We got our first VCR in '88. I kept up by reading the soap mags of the day, and the recaps in the paper on the weekends? during the school year. Then there were the times when I would miss school an extra day or two when I had been sick with a cold :) So, you started back watching in May? Wow! I too realize now more than ever just how much AMC means to me, the impact it has had on my life thru the years.

I was 9 and vaguely remember some of that story but no vcr until '87 and school made it difficult to follow so my memories are bits and pieces at best. I hadn't watched for 4? years before returning in May. I never realized how much this show actually meant to me until TAHIC took it away.

Thanks for posting this. It's a piece of history- TV history, and our own individual history. I first started watching AMC when I was 11, in the summer of 1982, at my best friend's house. It was the Jesse/Jenny? storyline which got me hooked. I watched for about 11 years, stopped, then started again when Angie and Jesse returned. I'm glad it was a part of my like for so many years :) I'm also up for its return!

I didn't like the ending either BUT I understand that PP didn't exactly give them much of a choice. I would have preferred the original 2hr ending they were going to do? and end with a flash forward to update the characters in the future. That would have been better.

I watched through elementary, jr. high, high school, college, boyfriends, babies, break-ups and divorces...even if I was mad at my mom, we could talk about uncle trevor, dimitri, anton, gillian, jeremy, mona, derek and, of course, erica... When I decided to come back (didn't watch after pancaking Dixie) I came back for? the end. Then Cady came back so I made a longer stay out of it and these clips. I had no intention of continuing online because regardless of what happens the show that I've watched for close to 30 years ended today and a part of my life ended with it. Knowing myself, I'd probably check it out just to get answers to the questions but the main thing is that TnD have their happy end. Minus JR.

Oy to the vey.. this ep left me a TOTAL wreck. Between the Adam/Stuart scenes which were beyond perfect to the J.R/Dix/A.J stuff, that made me cry for another reason...agh!! Oh man, what in the world is J.R. planning?? Looks? like its gonna be really bad. Kinda scared to know. I gotta give props to J.Y. He's really become unstable and scary as J.R. I love how TnD bumped into each other at the park? like they "bumped " into each other all those years ago when they first met at Myrtle's Dress Shop. I loved when Dixie and Tad met each other at the park and they both realized that they were both thinking the same thing, Dixie? started to literally jump for joy! Also, all the sweet words they spoke to each other during the proposal. When Tad told Dixie he committed himself to her 20 yrs ago. When Dixie said "I'm simply lost without you my dear" When Opal told Dixie that she was as much her own as Jenny. Wow! So many beautiful moments:)

Well, tomorrow is the beginning of one sad week. I cant believe the end is almost here. Truly the end of an era. I am grateful, however, that TnD are getting? the ending we fans always wanted. I read a snippet in some mag and Cady said that after shooting the very last scene, even some of the crew were in tears. i guess I'll have to get the tissues ready. :(

I? think we need to prepare ourselves for it. I doubt either one is going to wait 4 months for a maybe, possible, job. If one or the other continues, it's splitsville all over again. If they both continue, we get to see them but we all know they can't write for happy couples so we know what that means. It's a catch-22.
