Hope? you don't mind my responding to an old comment. I agree that Youtube is great for finding music that is otherwise hard to find, but I don't think Steve's is rejecting that aspect of it. He is saying that for himself, as an artist, looking at old clips and comments is not healthy. He also has said that he doesn't read media about himself, because it either goes to your head or hurts your feelings.

Chuck? Leavell is one very interesting dude, not your typical rock musician. I heard him on Mariann McPartland's Piano Jazz show on public radio. They did an absolutely terrific version of Jessica as a piano duet, and he hit it off really well with her--she's in her 90s now.

Danny Barnes. I met this man years ago. After the meeting of him I'd guess it was about a year after i was at the country fair in veneta oregon. He gave me a nodd. The next evening my brother and I (brother plays banjo) were on our way home from the calapooia brewery Matty stopped the van on the way out and I jumped out to? ask danny to sign mattys banjo. Fuckin' A. I knew this guy when he was a? student at UT and played with Will Indian in Austin at the Motel on the Southeast corner of I-35 and Oltorf. I gave him a ticket to, and went with him and Will and wives to, see Buck White and the Down Home Folks at Austin City Limits at UT about a million years ago. I used to ride my bicycle to the beer store on Guadalupe to sit and talk to him. You go Danny. Great Video.
