My comment must have been pretty poor! What I meant to was that Death shaped a genre that not many people explored so much because they feared they would copy them. And as a connecting statement, I meant to have said there should be more bands that? are similar to Old-school death metal, but without the newer elements (Not that I don't like them, I just prefer Old-School and the genre is full to the brim with bands).

This wouldn't be an example of Old School Death Metal at all. Death's first 2 albums shapped the sound of Old School Death metal. It was Death's later work? that ''influenced'' bands like Quo Vadis, Gory Blister, Sceptic, Illogicist etc. And this band;) Influenced, doesn't mean they copy Death ;)
