I was going to do an X-pipe,? however I still have a mostly stock engine, so the H pipe worked great for me, I have no for sure info on the X-pipe, but why not go for it?

Thank you for the info. I ended up getting the headers just need to figure out how to fab an h pipe. Do you think an x pipe would give it an aggressive sound? My whole purpose for wanting to do this is because I don't want the ricer sound neither do I want it to sound like a? bus. Lol.

We Fab'ed the H pipe up in the shop. I'm sure the it would sound like this, but not as aggressive, try looking up an I6 200 + flowmaster 40 series, the falcon 200 6's all had the same headers I believe. I'm sorry I cannot give you a strait answer, because I do not have the computer software with me to do a flow analysis. ? Good luck!

Hi. is there a way to? get this sound without the split headers? I have a 67 stock inline 6. I went to the clifford performance site for the parts but i didnt see the "H-pipe." was this fabricated at the muffler shop or is this something Flowmaster makes?

I use an H-Pipe, Because my exhaust is 2.25" diameter tubing, which is rated for about 200-300hp (duals). The H-pipe effects the flow enough to the point where its not a rattle sound or ricer sound, it? gives it the low tone. An X-Pipe would make it quieter than true duals, but the H-pipe on an inline 6 with split headers and you will not be disappointed. Plus one day I want to apply a bolt on supercharger, which will get me around 200hp (total). My exhaust is AL-409 stainless steel also.

@mrtexboilerman: Its not fast by far (120 horses), BUT I have the 3 speed auto also, so it kinda kills any? power potential from 120 hp. The low and mid range are where the peak power is. A v8 would give you much more power, however you would have to do more work than just engine, example shocks, breaks, ect... just to handle the v8 weight.. Its all about what your up to, but for my purposes (crusing up and down woodward dream cruise once a year its perfect!) 20mpg also whoo!

I have a '66 Mustang with the 200 inline six and I did the exhaust a few months ago. I went with the Classic Inlines stainless steel? header and 2" dual exhaust in to turbo thrush mufflers. It sounds pretty good too.

Thank you!, I chose flowmaster because I heard a 67 cougar with them and it sounded nice, If you have an Inline six I suggest getting Clifford performance split headder or long type? for the exhaust setups, Much easier to fabricate to.

I used Catia V5 R20, with the mold flow (air) analysis tool, and set the density to the pressure normal air pressure (101,300 p) and then used the pressure? generator to magnify the ratio based off the engines compression.

Thank you? I used a flow program to? configure the type of sound I wanted, so I used 2 1/4" pipes and 40 series instead of 2 1/2" and super 44's. Plus I want to upgrade my cam to something more aggressive some day.

The H-Pipe was made on site out of 309 (low carbon) Stainless Steel and welded right up. ? Yes I used the Clifford Split Header, because I thought it was a cool idea.

Sweet thanks, are those the 4-lug rims on the rear? If so, any ideas where i can get rims like that theyre pretty sweet. Reasons being i got the original 13" rims, and tires are 185 all around, my dad says it looks like im rollin around on toothpicks haha i figured i would try to find some different wheels since i got a mean sound coming from the exhaust now.? 205's would look much cooler on the rear wheels than my current 185's Thanks, Lee

Thank you Hayleescomet, I have 2-3/4 all the way back and im running some Bridgestone? tires. Front is 195 wide (standard, i beleive) and 205 rears. I have the front stock 14in rims w/ hub caps for now, and the rear is a 15in steel one, Im looking for some center caps that have the mustang symbol on them for the rears & eventually the fronts. Im at college now, but when i go home for break im going to show the new intake setup I made.
