That is different of course and you are entirely correct. We depend on collective responsibility? for democracy. Democracy isn't perfect but when it is working even reasonably well we share the responsibility for all decisions made. Citizens depend on good information to make those decisions, which is why a free press, or free media, is one of the cornerstones for a democracy. That seems to have been perhaps the main problem in Ireland. Journalists were either 'on board' or cowed into silence.

I agree with your first sentence, but I don't understand your point. The previous discussion was about how everyone in? the country can be blamed to the government's actions including the minority that objected. For example, if 70% of the population wants war and 30% objects, and the country ultimately goes to war, everyone in the country gets the blame for anything that happens in the war even if they were part of the objectors.

How are muslims more ignorant than christians? Both are Abrahamic faiths, sharing many of the same concepts. As for buddhism, it simply isn't the same.
