And you're right, most fans, not all fans, are like that. Of course there are always good sides? to every fandom; I've met really brilliant, amazing people through a shared love of Harry Potter and the same goes for Lord of the Rings. I was just trying to emphasize, in my last comment, that every fandom has bad fans, no fandom is better than the one that came before or the one that will eventually come after, that fandom fights are silly and people who encourage them should just be ignored. :)

At the end of the day, sadly every fandom has its fair share of elitist, ignorant, bad tempered fans to deal with. No matter how much we would like to deny it and how? much we wish this problem didn't exist. All fandoms have their Idiots, take a look at Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, both fandoms are riddled with (the to be feared) purist fans. I mean both fandoms are made up of these purist fans to the point that we're known for it now, which is never good is it aha :p
