nope i got a peavey 1980 strat and it has passive pickups but the thing is you need a guitar interface for your pc although i use a peavey transtube amp on clean plugged into the line in jack and it works for me but let me tell you right now, Guitar rig DOES NOT sound like a real tube amp unless you have some fancy speakers and all the expensive hardware required to use guitar rig to its full potential. Oh and the EC-50 is a great guitar? i used to have one.

What is your guitar and what soundcard do u use for GR 4 cause even now when i have my new ESP EC-50 the Rammfire still sounds strange I? mean maybe it's because I must have better soun card or it's because Rammfire is only for active pickups like EMG 81?

Sounds? good. You need to quad track (layer) your rhythm guitar, then split 2 per stereo side. Change the eq and mic settings a bit per track. Then you will have a little closer to a Rammstein sound. (although they use about 8-16 layers)

The Rammfire doesnt sound perfect and it took me some? time to get the sound i have now in the beginning the sound was just buzzy and crackly but now i kind of like it and the clean sound sounds good too. Well you will need a Guitar link usb ore somthing like that to connect you're Guitar to the computer.
