The insuannon are the guys on ilos. The video of the squid? face guys being killed was a message they left to the protheans which the protheans left in the memory shards/Beacons for other races.

No shit sherlock. I played the game also. Doesn't change the fact, we were to believe that the reapers greatly mutated the Protheans from their original form in ME2. ME1 established an appearance for the Protheans and ME3 retcon? it with this guy.
