I'm a huge Elvis fan. To me the only one who could be called the king of rock and roll besides Elvis in terms of setting the bar for what rock and roll is is Chuck Berry. He set the standard for Rock and roll guitar playing and songwriting. There were others who came before and comtemporaries? who had songwriting and guitar playing, but Chuck had them both and definately set the standard of what was to follow.
