I own a Ford Capri the same colour as the one in this - nearly wet myself when I saw this!!! My Capri is my baby and I love him to bits and the funny thing is - my dad owns a Quattro the same as the one in the clip only his is white so it was a treat to? see the both together in this show. Oh and I'm a girl - just in case anyone thought all petrolheads were guys!

If they wrote the quattro off, how come it could still do the handbrake turns and stuff? Surely? the only thing which would have been broken after the jump would be the suspension? maybe the exhaust? Cos im sure at the end of the series, the damage was just props (stickers instead of real bullet holes etc)

The Quattro that made the jump at the start of the scene suffered fatal damage to its frame, just like the countless Dodge Chargers that the producers of the Dukes of Hazzard went through while making that series. No longer useable, it was this car that the Dutchman shot to hell at? Gravesend. Another Quattro used extensively in series 2 and 3 is or was displayed at BBC Television Centre. The Quattro in series 1 had no sunroof.

The song is more perfect than you realise. Wagner wrote it for start of the third act of Die Walküre, when the Walküre (or Valkyries, in English) have gathered to transport the fallen heroes to Valhalla. It has come to be the charge of the mighty, particularly since its use in Appocolypse Now, so viewers of this scene did not realise that it actually fortold? the series' ending and revealed what Gene is.

Well, it makes sense. Destroying a rare quattro would be a crime. Coupe's had the same shape without the wheel arches, they didn't have 4WD or turbo as standard. Plus it would be a helluva lot cheaper to bang up a coupe.?
