would try to push through. ? When you have that large of a minority (or even a majority) being ignored, in my opinion it isn't far enough away from tyranny to be safe. Our system is slow, but it protects (political) minority groups and even majority groups in this way. The only way for quick decisive action would really be to unify the government, which would require the electorate becoming unified, which isn't likely for the time. Anyways, I'm done. 2. RON PAUL definitely could get bipartisan votes? for a lot of things. He's for some more "liberal" ideas like ending the drug war and his foreign policy ideas. Even my mom agrees that the way things are not with the government, we need someone that can really bring the two sides together. One thing you said before is really applicable in these times; that getting anything passed in congress may be better than nothing in the stalemate that usually happens.

1. I do agree that these elections usually focus on too much of the things "wrong" with the other candidates, but honestly I haven't seen nearly as much of that now as I have with the 2008 election. One person of the current republican candidates that sticks out for me as an offender of this is Mitt Romney. I think he calls out Obama too much on things that are "bad" rather than stating ways to "fix" things. Some people (Ron Paul) definitely have a good grasp on? what they want to do though.
