Indianapolis doesn't even? have an NHL-caliber arena and neither does Milwaukee. Don't even bring the Bradley Center on the table, that place is not too great. It's old and lacks luxury suites/club seats. It will likely take a renovated Bradley Center or a brand new arena for the NHL to move there.

Teams don't move because they have low attendance unless if that is hurting them financially and the Ducks don't have that problem. They will NEVER relocate. I am not in anyway suggestioning that they move the Ducks or Kings. I think both are in great markets. Like I said the only team that may relocate is the Coyote and that is only because? the NHL owns them and once they are sold the new owner(s) could relocate them.

Great points there. Yeah even the NFL is having attendance problems due to high ticket prices (ie. Jaguars, Bucs, Rams, & so on). Times are tough because of the economy. ? The problem with attendance is that it is a such a relative measure. It depends on the success of the team. It depends on the price of the tickets. What matters at the end of the day is not attendance, but profitability. Are teams losing money? Why are they losing money and can that be rectified?

I'm a Ducks fan, and? yes my team has had a low attendance in the last 4 years or so but our owners are making money and we have a solid fanbase here in SoCal. They are not dealing with any financial crisis the only problem is, there are not that many hockey fans in Anaheim. Orange County has 1/4 of LA population.

The worst attendance? season they ever had was the season when the Preds had the second best record in the league 13,619 with 110 points. The problem was the owner pissed off the fans and local corporate sponsors. After he sold the fans and businesses came back. He was a great owner but made some really poor decisions that cost him in the end.

Here is another fact about overall attendance. Since the Preds have been in the league these teams have had average season attendance lower than the Preds have ever had. Chicago 12,318, New Jersey 12,714, Pittsburgh 12,472, Washington 12,910, Boston 13,255 plus Colorado, Dallas, New York Islanders, Phoenix, Atlanta, Carolina, Florida, Tampa almost? half the teams in the NHL.

Check again Nashville percentage is 96% this season which is 16,496 per game. The arena only holds 17,113 which is the third smallest in the league. Nashville overall attendance numbers is almost 90% which is not bad at all considering it is a small market team. Check your attendance figures? again, Nashville lowest average season is 13,619 and then 13,927 after that it is all 14,000 or higher.

The only one of those teams I would be okay with staying is San Jose. 16 000 is terrible attendance that is only 82%. Nashvilles? attendance is terrible when the team isn't playing good (which is the same reason I suggest San Jose) Carolina is at 80. Dallas is at 63%. And none of those teams have history. Even if your team is terrible you should still be able to sell out 95% of your arena.

Moving San Jose, Nashville, Carolina and Tampa.? Do you watch hockey? Heck Florida is averaging almost 16,000 this season and that is lowest attendance of these five teams. San Jose has sold out every game for years, Nashville has sold out almost half of their games this season and Carolina has done quite well. Plus Dallas has a real strong fan base as well. The only team that might move is the Coyotes and that is only because the NHL owns them and will have to sale them soon.

It's easy to compensate for 17th in scoring if you have a good defense, which the Blues do. Yes, there probably will be bad years for a few players, but you're banking on the whole team having a bad year,? which is illogical. Oshie, Perron, McDonald, Berglund, Johnson, Boyes, Backes, Steen are all capable of 60 or more points.
